My Guardians vs Tigers best bet: Jose Ramirez Over 1.5 total bases (+130 at bet365)
Jose Ramirez is in the middle of one of his patented hot streaks. The Cleveland Guardians' six-time All-Star and five-time Silver Slugger enters tonight’s matchup with the Detroit Tigers riding a 15-game hitting streak.
Ramirez helped fuel the Guardians' 7-0 win in the opener of this four-game set by collecting another two hits and scoring a run. Ramriez is hitting .390 with a 1.133 OPS, four home runs, and nine RBIs during this streak. Just ridiculous stuff.
I like the Guardians’ switch-hitting third baseman to extend that hitting streak to 16 tonight.
Ramirez will dig into the batter's box against Tigers’ starter Jackson Jobe. The 22-year-old rookie right-hander has shown flashes that made him the No. 3 pick in the 2021 MLB Draft. But overall, like most rookies, it’s been hard for him to be consistent.
Jobe enters this game pitching to a 4.45 expected ERA while surrendering a .243 expected batting average to opponents. Those rank in the 30th and 57th percentiles, respectively, among MLB pitchers.
But his biggest issue has been his command. His 12.7% walk rate ranks in the Bottom 10% of the league.
He also isn’t striking out a ton of batters, ranking in the 27th percentile in K-rate. That means a guy with the bat skills of Ramirez will be a tough out for the rookie.
Despite all this, you can still get Ramirez to go Over 1.5 total bases at solid plus money. Ramirez is so locked in, he’s gone Over this number 10 times during this 15-game hitting streak, including in seven of his last eight games overall.
At this price, there’s plenty of value in Ramirez to keep tallying knocks on Friday night.

It sits at a high 2.5, but he’s handed out three or more free passes in four of his eight starts this season. Cleveland has a decent walk rate at 8.9%, which ranks 13th in the major leagues.
Let’s round this same-game parlay out with the Tigers to end this scoreless streak by backing someone to get an RBI.
They’ll face Slade Cecconi tonight, who is making just his second start of the season. He allowed three runs on five hits in his debut against the Cincinnati Reds.
My favorite Tiger to back tonight is Riley Greene. Greene is in a groove, hitting .333 with a 1.067 OPS, five extra-base hits, and seven RBI over his last seven games. He’s also hitting .331 with a 1.012 OPS and 29 RBI vs. right-handed pitching this season.
