Cleveland and Tampa Bay will slug away to send this total Over the number tonight, and Game 2 of the ALCS should feature plenty of fireworks.

The Tampa Bay Rays are home favorites over the Cleveland Guardians prior to the 8 p.m. ET clash at Tropicana Field on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

My top Guardians vs. Rays predictions and MLB picks expect another offense-filled affair, with Cleveland's lineup doing the heavy lifting and the Over hitting again tonight.

 TOP PICK
Guardians vs Rays prediction tonight: Over 6.5

For help understanding probabilities, see our odds calculator.

The series opener finished with 10 runs, and the two teams combined to leave 14 runners on base, with the Cleveland Guardians going 3-for-12 with runners in scoring position. That's why I'm recommending this Over to 57%.

Cleveland also ranks second in wOBA and fourth in xwOBA during the postseason while averaging 5.0 runs per game.

Additionally, while Tampa Bay Rays veteran Freddy Peralta was sharp to close out the regular season (0.79 ERA through his final five starts), his .187 BABIP and 94.0% strand rate are unsustainable alongside the veteran's 4.44 xFIP during that stretch.

There's also positive regression coming for Tampa at the dish, with the Rays' expected batting average, slugging percentage, and wOBA all well above the team's respective actual marks to start the postseason.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The offensive surge from the Cleveland Guardians dates back to the acquisition of slugger Jo Adell, with Cleveland ranking ninth in wOBA and sixth in wRC+ across 49 regular-season games with Adell on the roster.

Who will win Guardians vs Rays?

Cleveland Guardians: The Guardians are rolling, and the Rays can’t hit lefties, so I’d recommend the Guardians' moneyline to 50% for Game 2.

Guardians vs Rays combo

Tampa Bay finished the regular season ranked 27th in wOBA and 30th in ISO against left-handed pitchers, and Cleveland southpaw Parker Messick has been holding the Rays to a minuscule .196 xwOBA and .049 ISO.

Continuing with Messick, the Guardians need a strong start after turning to their bullpen for 32 innings across six postseason games. The go-to lefty threw at least five innings in 30 of his 32 regular-season appearances, so I expect him to be given every opportunity to pitch into the sixth inning tonight.

  • Parker Messick Over 14.5 outs recorded

Guardians vs Rays home run prediction: Jose Ramirez

Cleveland superstar Jose Ramirez has been a force all postseason with a monster .391 ISO and a pair of homers. He’s also been teeing off on Peralta for a .456 xwOBA across a small sample.

Ramirez has been improving during the postseason as his career has progressed, and he sports a high-end .240 ISO across his past 115 plate appearances in the playoffs. As a result, I’d recommend this prop up to 16%.

Our Colby Marchio is all over another Cleveland slugger in his Guardians vs. Rays prop picks.

Guardians vs Rays player prop: Jose Ramirez Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI

In addition to the highlighted fancy stats Ramirez has put up this postseason, he’s also collected a tidy traditional stat line of eight hits, eight runs, and eight RBI across six games.

His position in the heart of the clicking Cleveland lineup positions him to hit this Over again in Game 2, and I recommend this prop to 52%.
