The Cleveland Guardians and San Francisco Giants hit Oracle Park for Game 2 of their series on Wednesday, June 18, and all eyes will be on recently acquired San Fran star Rafael Devers.

Devers and starter Justin Verlander headline my Guardians vs. Giants predictions and MLB picks for tonight's bout in the Bay Area.

Guardians vs Giants prediction

My Guardians vs Giants best bet: Rafael Devers Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI (-120 at DraftKings)

It didn’t take long for San Francisco Giants newbie Rafael Devers to deliver in his new digs.

Devers went 2-for-5 in his San Fran debut with a double and RBI, and the two-time Sliver Slugger winner continues to do damage against left-handed pitchers with a solid .337 wOBA, .183 ISO, and .881 OPS over the past three years

This should also prove to be a solid matchup for the 28-year-old star with the wind forecasted to be blowing out at Oracle Park tonight.

Cleveland Guardians southpaw Logan Allen has allowed a .415 wOBA to left-handed hitters this season, and he’s also served up a healthy .352 mark on the highway across 151 career innings, after all.

Guardians vs Giants same-game parlay (SGP)

Rafael Devers Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI

Under 8.5

Justin Verlander Over 3.5 strikeouts

Even with the wind blowing out at Oracle Park, I like the alternate Under 8.5 total. Cleveland has a 23rd-ranked wOBA against righties, and San Fran has a matching 23rd-ranked mark against lefties. Additionally, both teams have trended to the Under.

Turning to Giants righty Justin Verlander, he fanned four or more batters in four of five starts prior to his final outing before his IL stint with a pectoral injury, and the Guardians have a middling 21.2% strikeout rate against righties.

Verlander completed a 65-pitch sim game last Wednesday and a bullpen session on Saturday, so I’m anticipating the veteran righty to have a long enough leash to rack up four or more punchouts tonight.
