After officially clinching a playoff spot on Monday, the Los Angeles Dodgers are back at it tonight as a heavy 69% moneyline favorite against the Cincinnati Reds. The first pitch at Great American Ballpark is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. ET.
With Yoshinobu Yamamoto in solid form, my Dodgers vs. Reds predictions are expecting another convincing road win from the defending champs.

Who will win Dodgers vs Reds today: Dodgers -2.5 (47%)

Play to 55%.
It's not often you see a team sitting as a -2.5 favorite on the runline, but I'm confident the Los Angeles Dodgers will cruise tonight. Yoshinobu Yamamoto owns a 2.74 xERA across his previous four starts with pinpoint command and limited home run damage.
He's facing a Cincinnati Reds lineup that's scored just five runs over its last two games while posting a horrendous 54 wRC+ across the previous six.
As for Rhett Lowder, he has a 5.69 FIP over his last two outings with major control problems. L.A. also tagged him for seven earned runs last week, and now he faces one of the hottest lineups in baseball once again.
The Dodgers should have no issues creating separation here.

Dodgers vs Reds Over/Under pick: Over 8.5 (52%)
Play to 55%.
I expected L.A. to score a lot more on Monday, but that didn't happen. However, I am eyeing a high-scoring contest tonight. The Dodgers already lit up Lowder last week, and Cincinnati's bullpen continues to struggle.
The Reds' relief corps has allowed 2.08 HR/9 over the last seven days while posting a 5.72 FIP. That's a recipe for disaster against a Los Angeles offense with a 126 wRC+ and .237 ISO over its last six contests.
L.A.'s bullpen has been impressive, but Yamamoto isn't completely untouchable. While I don't see him giving up many runs, the Reds should be able to muster enough offense to help push this game Over the total.
Dodgers vs Reds home run prediction: Kyle Tucker (20%)
Play to 25%.
I'm loving Kyle Tucker to go deep tonight. He's on fire, cracking three homers in his last six games with a mind-boggling .632 ISO. Tucker is consistently getting the ball in the air, averaging a 76.5% fly-ball rate during that span.
The matchup against Lowder heavily favors Tucker, as the starter is allowing plenty of loud contact, and Cincinnati's relief corps has struggled as well. Additionally, Tucker's 29.4% barrel rate over the last week is impossible to ignore.
Tucker has multiple paths to another bomb this evening.

Dodgers vs Reds weather
Conditions should be excellent for offense at Great American Ball Park. Temperatures will be around 91°F near first pitch before gradually cooling, with clear skies, virtually no rain risk, and light winds around 5 mph. The heat is notable, while the wind shouldn't have a significant impact on the game.
