Florida leads the NHL in expected goals against and ranks third in expected-goals percentage, leading me to believe a breakout is imminent for the Cats.
Colten Ellis, who has 18 career games under his belt, is expected to get the nod for Buffalo, and he won't fare well behind a Sabres defense allowing 3.8 goals per game — the sixth-most in the NHL.
Look for the Panthers to get the job done on the road. I'd play this to 54%.

While this looks like a low-scoring affair, with Florida suppressing high-danger scoring chances and the Sabres' offense struggling to begin the year, we should thread the needle with Tkachuk.
