The Los Angeles Dodgers are road favorites to punch their ticket to the NLCS with a Game 4 win over the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

My top Dodgers vs. Braves prediction and MLB picks call for the L.A. lineup to provide enough run support for righty Tyler Glasnow to bring home the win.

 TOP PICK
Dodgers vs Braves prediction: Dodgers moneyline

For help understanding probabilities, see our odds calculator.

Give me the Los Angeles Dodgers moneyline up to 61%.

While Atlanta Braves righty Tyler Mahle capped off the regular season with an impressive 1.99 ERA across his final nine starts, the mark fell well short of his 3.59 xERA and 3.41 xFIP.

L.A. counters with Tyler Glasnow, and it was just the opposite, with the righty’s 4.46 ERA across his final six starts of the regular season soaring way over his underlying 3.11 xERA and 2.88 xFIP.

In addition to Glasnow having a slight edge in the advanced metrics, I give the Los Angeles lineup a healthy edge at the plate.

The Dodgers posted a third-ranked xwOBA while also pacing the majors in squared-up contact rate against righties in the second half. Atlanta checked in ranked 12th and 23rd, respectively.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Dodgers offense is positioned to break out at the dish after going 0-for-13 with runners in scoring position, and this Braves pitching staff sports an unsustainable 99.0% strand rate through the first three games of the series.

Dodgers vs Braves combo

In addition to Glasnow’s solid underlying metrics, he’s also been tough on Atlanta with a career 2.48 ERA across six starts, while also holding current Braves to a .240 wOBA and .276 xwOBA with a healthy 33.3% strikeout rate.

Glasnow is also rested and recorded 18+ outs in four of his five starts to finish the regular season.

Turning to veteran Freddie Freeman, he’s gone 4-for-11 with three runs and two solo home runs during this series to improve to a career .872 postseason OPS.

Dodgers vs Braves combo

  • Dodgers moneyline
  • Tyler Glasnow Over 15.5 outs
  • Freddie Freeman Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI

Dodgers vs Braves home run prediction: Teoscar Hernandez

Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez has been dangerous this postseason with a 62.5% hard-hit rate, 22.2% blast-contact rate, and 390 xISO. He’s also posted a high-end .273 xISO against Mahle across nine plate appearances.

Even if it’s a small sample, those are big numbers, so I recommend this prop to 17%.
