Brewers vs Cubs Prediction, Picks & Odds for Today’s MLB Game

Kyle Tucker's finger injury appears to have been minor, and a little rest was all he needed as he registered a three-hit game vs. the Brewers on Tuesday. We expect more of the same from the Cubs outfielder tonight.

The Chicago Cubs took Game 1 of their National League Central showdown with the Milwaukee Brewers, and the rivals will hit Wrigley Field for a rematch on Wednesday, June 18.

Chicago has now won four of five against Milwaukee, and my top Brewers vs. Cubs predictions and MLB picks expect Jameson Taillon and Kyle Tucker to lead the North Siders to another win tonight.

Brewers vs Cubs prediction

My Brewers vs Cubs best bet: Kyle Tucker Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI (+105 at DraftKings)

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker silenced any concerns about a lingering finger injury by going 3-for-4 with a run and a pair of doubles in the series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday.

The Cubs were off Monday, and Tucker sat Sunday before being intentionally walked as a pinch-hitter, so the three-time All-Star had a pair of off-days to rest up ahead of this three-game bout.

Tucker is up to a .383 wOBA, .225 ISO, and .904 OPS against righties this season and has been a staple in the two-hole. It’s resulted in a sterling 76 hits, 50 runs, and 43 RBI through just 72 games, and he hit the Over in this market in each of his past four starts despite dealing with the noted finger injury.

Chicago faces Milwaukee rookie Jacob Misiorowski in just his second big-league start, so I’m anticipating the North Siders having a solid offensive day in The Friendly Confines.

Brewers vs Cubs same-game parlay (SGP)

Kyle Tucker Over 1.5 H+R+RBI

Cubs moneyline

Jacob Misiorowski Under 4.5 strikeouts

The Cubs have the eighth-lowest strikeout percentage against righties while also sporting a sixth-ranked wOBA and ISO, and Chicago veteran Jameson Taillon has won five straight while spinning a tidy 1.91 ERA and 0.79 WHIP.

Taillon has also been sharp at Wrigley Field since joining the Cubbies, with a 3.19 ERA and 1.14 WHIP across 211 2/3 innings.

Turning to Misiorowski, make no mistake, he shows off swing-and-miss stuff. He has also struggled with control and issued four free passes in his debut while throwing just 49 of 81 pitches for strikes. The 23-year-old righty posted a 4.41 BB/9 across 63 1/3 innings in the minors to start the season, too.
