Our Braves vs. Dodgers prop picks take a closer look at the player prop market, where L.A.'s bats are a tad undervalued given the weather forecast (mid-90s, 10mph winds blowing out the center) favoring offense.

Prop pick #1: Blake Snell 17+ Outs

Blake Snell is always one of the best pitchers in the sport... when he's healthy. That's been a big if throughout his career, but he's healthy now, and we should expect peak performance.

The southpaw generated a 2.17 xERA and 1.72 FIP across nine starts. He'll be licking his chops against an Atlanta Braves lineup that ranks 24th in wRC+ (91) against left-handed starters.

He could get a longer leash than normal, too, as Dave Roberts will be slow to trust his bullpen after Tanner Scott allowed a two-run home run in the ninth inning of Game 1.

Snell ramped up to 100 pitches in his last two full starts and is well-rested, having not thrown a true full start since Sept. 11, so he's in for a big workload.

Prop pick #2: Shohei Ohtani 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI

Shohei Ohtani is the most dominant player in baseball, so I'm backing him to have a productive game on the biggest stage.

Atlanta hasn't announced its pitching plans as of the time of this writing. We'll either see Chris Sale on short rest or another bullpen game.

Sale threw 95 pitches Tuesday against the Philadelphia Phillies, then came out of the pen for 21 pitches Thursday. He reported feeling sore after the Thursday appearance, so he'll likely be a slightly less effective version of himself if he does reach the mound.

If it's a bullpen game, Atlanta's relief arms are nothing to fear for Shohei (3.95 FIP, 4.09 xFIP). His 153 wRC+ at Dodger Stadium is a boost, as is the favorable weather forecast.

Prop pick #3: Will Smith 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI

Speaking of the weather, it's one reason I'm bullish on the Los Angeles Dodgers finding success at the plate. It'll be a warm day (mid-90s) with winds of 8 to 10 mph blowing out to center field.

This venue already favors hitters, especially for home runs (league-high 123 Park Factor for big flies). Add an atypically warm day in Southern California and winds aiding fly balls, and the recipe is there for big swings to find home.

Will Smith has been in a groove, posting 2+ hits + runs + RBI in six of his last seven starts. The lone miss was still productive: he reached base four times, though three came on walks.

Smith has a 160 wRC+ since Sept. 1, walking as often as he strikes out (14.7%) and slashing a robust .290/.400/.548. He's usually in the middle of the order, and hit directly behind Ohtani in Game 1, which is a favorable spot for production.
