The Toronto Blue Jays haven’t been able to beat the heat or the Baltimore Orioles so far during this four-game set at Camden Yards.

Now, they’ll try to salvage the series with a win in this afternoon’s finale, when Jose Berrios toes the rubber vs. Dean Kremer.

My Blue Jays predictions and MLB picks break down why these American League East teams will light up the scoreboard in this matinee matchup.

Blue Jays predictions for July 30

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: Running up the score

Over 9.5 (-120 at BetVictor)

The Toronto Blue Jays have hit a little skid, losing four in a row, including both games in yesterday’s doubleheader, and it feels like the bats have been pressing a bit (Hint: go trade for another power bat).

It’s not like the Jays have been shut out, as they’ve scored 14 runs in the four losses, but they’ve also left 48 runners on base in this series.

Hopefully, a matchup with Dean Kremer will cure what ails the Blue Jays. Kremer is another below-average starter, which is the theme for the Baltimore Orioles this season. He ranks in the 46th percentile in expected ERA and the 37th in opponent expected batting average.

Kremer also doesn’t have a lot of swing and miss in his game, relying more on mixing pitches to create soft contact. Too bad for Kremer that it hasn’t been the case vs. the Jays. They combine for a .279 xBA and a .483 xSLG vs. the O’s starter, with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. being a particular thorn in his side (more on that in a bit).

Additionally, while Jose Berrios has mostly been reliable this season, O’s hitters have some good numbers against him. Mix in another hot day in Baltimore, and the ball will carry.

Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 9.5

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 0.5 RBI

Addison Barger Over 0.5 RBI

Guerrero is 11-for-33 with five dingers in his career vs. Kremer. That’s good for a .359 xBA and a whopping .829 xSLG. Let’s add Over 0.5 RBI for Vladdy, as he's got 10 of them in his last 11 games.

While Vladdy will always be a tough out for Kremer, lefty sluggers have been his real problem. Kremer is surrendering a .265 batting average and a .758 OPS to lefty bats this season.

That has me looking at Addison Barger. He’s hitting .294 since the All-Star break with 10 RBI, and he collected three hits and two RBI in yesterday’s doubleheader.
