The Georgia Bulldogs reclaimed their lead in college football national championships futures markets at the leading prediction platforms.
Kirby Smart’s crew stomped the ranked Florida Gators, whereas previous leader, Miami, barely squeaked past unranked North Carolina.
- Georgia’s suffocating defensive effort kept Florida to just eight points.
- Ohio State fell to unranked USC and is going to be without its starting quarterback indefinitely.
- Defending champion Indiana survived in overtime against unranked Minnesota to remain the leader in the chase pack.
Georgia holds the largest lead any top-ranked team has had at Kalshi in 2026. It lists the Bulldogs at a 24% chance of winning the next national title, up from 16% earlier in the week.
The surge in support comes on the heels of Georgia’s dominant 27-8 win over No. 17 Florida. Heisman candidate and UF running back Jadan Baugh was held to 17 carries for just 38 yards, and his team turned the ball over four times.
Polymarket also lists Georgia at a leading 24% after having them as low as 14.6% earlier in the week. The key difference is that Polymarket has Miami at a close 19%, while Kalshi has them at 16%.
The Hurricanes got their best test of the season from a North Carolina team that was only 4-3 entering the matchup. The UM defense was gashed by Tar Heels quarterback Billy Edwards Jr., who racked up 341 yards and four touchdowns.
Notre Dame is the only other team with a double-digit likelihood of winning the national championship at either platform. Polymarket has them at 15%, and Kalshi is offering them at 14%.
The Fighting Irish got off to a slow start in their Saturday matchup against Navy, falling behind 13-7 before rattling off 28 unanswered points. Running back Nolan James Jr. scampered for 107 yards and two touchdowns, including a 52-yard score, in only nine carries.
Who else is still in the fight?
No team suffered a greater setback in national championship odds at prediction markets than Ohio State. The Buckeyes plummeted from 13% to just 5% at Kalshi after falling to USC with backup quarterback Luke Fahey at the helm. Their biggest issues were their inability to convert red-zone opportunities to touchdowns and to stop giving up chunk plays through the air.

Polymarket users weren’t quite as harsh, although they still dropped Ohio State to 7%. That’s exactly the same as other challengers such as LSU, Texas, and Indiana, all of whom are tied for the fourth-best chance of winning the national title.
Kalshi lists defending national champion Indiana at 9% – which needed a 60-yard field goal and an overtime touchdown to squeak past unranked Minnesota – as its fourth-place contender. LSU and Texas are tied at 8%, before Alabama and Ohio State follow at 5%.
Other teams in the mix at Kalshi include Ole Miss (4%), UCLA (3%), Utah (3%), and BYU (2%).
Polymarket also has Florida (1%), USC (1%), and Texas Tech (1%) on the board of options.
