Key Takeaways
  • The Bills are getting over 70% of the bets and handle at Caesars Sportsbook.
  • The Chiefs, Lions, and Seahawks are among the other most-bet teams at BetMGM.
  • The Cardinals are getting the majority of the money and bets against the Cowboys.

Heading into a showdown with the Baltimore Ravens, and possibly the return of quarterback Lamar Jackson, the Bills (-3) are the most-bet spread team at BetMGM by tickets and third in handle. Buffalo has collected 63% of spread bets and 54% of the money in the most-bet game of the week so far at BetMGM.

This has been the norm all season. The Bills have ranked among the five most-bet teams at BetMGM every week that they’ve played on Sunday. Buffalo had one Thursday night game in Week 2 and a Monday contest in Week 5.

Caesars Sportsbook reported an even higher 76% of the tickets and 71% of the money coming in on the Bills, who are also getting a whopping 84% of the moneyline handle.

BetMGM customers are also on over 54.5 points, making this the second most-bet total of the week behind Kansas City-Denver under 40.5. More than 90% of the money is on the over in Buffalo-Baltimore.

Popularity contest

Despite all of that Buffalo love, the Chiefs (-1.5) are the most popular spread team by handle so far this week. Over 80% of the money and 57% of the tickets have come in on Kansas City.

The Broncos (+100) are the second most popular moneyline underdog this week at BetMGM behind the Indianapolis Colts (+350 at Jacksonville).

The Detroit Lions, another popularly bet team, are second in handle and getting 74% of the money as a 3.5-point favorite over the home-team Minnesota Vikings, who have collected a more reasonable 46% of the tickets in their divisional showdown.

In another major divisional matchup, the 5-2 Cleveland Browns versus the 5-2 Pittsburgh Steelers is the fifth most-bet game of the week. Cleveland (+3.5) is behind only Buffalo in ticket popularity for Sunday and is getting 67% of the handle as well.

The Seattle Seahawks (-3) are among the most-bet teams by spread handle and tickets heading into Monday night’s showdown with the Chicago Bears.

Tight splits

The only split decision on Friday at BetMGM is Las Vegas-New York Jets, with 59% of the tickets on the Raiders and 66% of the handle on the Jets.

Rams-Chargers is close. Two L.A. teams are getting an even percentage of bets, but the Rams (-6.5) have collected 74% of the handle.

The majority of bettors are staying off the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of Sunday night’s primetime game against Washington, which is getting 58% of the tickets and 72% of the handle as a 6-point favorite.

Dallas typically receives the majority of bets and money each week, but BetMGM bettors aren’t buying the Cowboys as a touchdown favorite at home against Arizona. Despite a convincing performance last week against a depleted Philadelphia Eagles squad, they’re only getting 39% of the bets and 42% of the money.
