Key Takeaways
  • The 76ers signed a multiyear partnership with Arena Club, cofounded by MLB legend Derek Jeter.
  • Arena Club will sponsor the 76ers’ starting lineups, which will feature trading card-themed graphics.
  • The partnership includes in-arena trading card giveaways and a social media series featuring 76ers players opening packs.

The 76ers revealed earlier this month that they had entered into a multiyear partnership with Arena Club, an online marketplace for trading, grading, and storing cards that incorporates AI into its platform.

“Few franchises carry the weight of history that the 76ers do, with legends who defined the sport and continue to shape it,” Arena Club CEO and cofounder Brian Lee said, according to Heavy. “For collectors, this franchise, those players, and their moments in Philadelphia mean something real.”

Arena Club branding will accompany the Sixers' starting-lineup announcements, which will feature trading card-themed graphics.

Fans attending 76ers home games will have the opportunity to receive trading cards through special in-arena parachute drops. The Sixers and Arena Club have also created a media-day series featuring players opening packs, with videos shared on the team’s social media accounts.

Jeter brings HOF credentials

Jeter, a former New York Yankees star and Baseball Hall of Famer, also cofounded Arena Club.

“All of my personal cards, cards that I collected, memorabilia, and old school videos from high school, my parents kept it all at their house. We had a flood in Michigan and it all got ruined,” Jeter told Sports Illustrated in March 2025. “So when Brian was explaining (Arena Club) to me, it really hit home. I couldn’t be more excited about the idea, but then also working alongside Brian. I’m not just some endorser, we are partners.”

Arena Club is expanding its presence in the best card rip apps industry, having teamed up with another Philadelphia sports staple, the NFL’s Eagles, in a similar deal in August.

The company also partnered with the NBA's San Antonio Spurs in January and the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars in September for a promotion tied to the team’s London game.
