Famed Quail Hollow Club will play host to the 2025 PGA Championship, and the second major of the season will draw plenty of eyes with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Bryson DeChambeau headlining the star-studded field.

With McIlroy headlining my top golf picks this week, I’ve had to look further down the PGA Championship odds list to round out my betting card with a trio of PGA Tour winners and proven players at Quail Hollow.

PGA Championship sleeper picks

  • Reed to win outright (+9000)
  • Homa to win outright (+17000)
  • English to win outright (+22500)

Picks were made on 5-13 at 11:00 a.m. ET.

PGA Championship sleeper predictions

Sleeper pick to win: Patrick Reed
+9000 at DraftKings

Simply put, this is an enormous number for Patrick Reed.

He’s won a major, just finished solo third at the Masters, and finished T2 in the 2017 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. Add another two Top 10s in the 2018 Wells Fargo and 2021 edition, and the American has proven he can golf his ball around this tough track on multiple occasions.

Reed has also gained true strokes across the board during a solid stretch that includes seven consecutive Top 25 finishes and five Top 10s.

Additionally, he ranks 20th in both true strokes gained tee-to-green and putting in this field during the run, and he’s eighth in true strokes gained over the past five events played at Quail Hollow.

Sleeper pick to win: Max Homa
+17000 at FanDuel

The 2019 Wells Fargo winner has gained true strokes across the board in his past two trips to Quail Hollow with back-to-back T8 finishes for a solid +1.55 true strokes gained total per round dating back to his victory at the track.

So, while Homa’s game isn’t in its top form, I’m still interested in this gigantic price because he also just finished T12 in the Masters.

Sleeper pick to win: Harris English
+22500 at Caesars

Harris English plays major championships and difficult tracks well. He’s made the cut in six consecutive majors, including finishing T12 in the 2025 Masters, and this will also be his seventh trip to Quail Hollow. And, you guessed it, he’s played the weekend in each of the first six.

The five-time PGA Tour winner finished T3 in the 2023 Wells Fargo, and English is also one of the best putters on the planet. He ranks eighth in this field in true strokes gained putting dating back to his win at the Farmers in January.
