Hero World Challenge field

Stop me if you've heard this before: Scottie Scheffler is a very short betting favorite this week.

The World No. 1 finished runner-up at Albany Golf Course in 2021 and 2022 before snagging back-to-back trophies in 2023 and 2024, winning by three shots and six shots, respectively. He hasn't shot a round of 70 or higher since his opening round in 2022.

Then there's his form: six victories, including two major championships, in his last 12 starts, and he won at the Procore Championship last time out. His +160 odds certainly reflect all of those good things.

Robert MacIntyre (+1000) is next on the board after a successful four-event stint on the DP World Tour that included a win at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. He also finished T9 in Abu Dhabi and T8 at the DP World Tour Championship.

Cam Young rounds out the Top 3 at 12/1 after winning the Wyndham Championship back in August. He's made four starts since then and hasn't finished worse than 11th at the BMW Championship. He's in form.

There's a larger group of guys in the 16/1 to 18/1 range below the Top 3, including J.J. Spaun, Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama, and more.
