My top FedEx St. Jude Championship predictions and long-shot golf picks are headlined by a pair of household names trending in the right direction: Viktor Hovland and Rickie Fowler.

🎯 FedEx. St. Jude Championship sleeper predictions

Sleeper pick to win: Viktor Hovland
2.4% probability at Kalshi

Expect Viktor Hovland to be a popular bet this week.

He’s gained true strokes on approaches in eight consecutive events leading up to it, and he’s also gained in the metric in each of his six trips to TPC Southwind.

I also value Hovland gaining true strokes putting in this event in each of the past four years, including during his T2 finish in 2024.

Sleeper pick to win: Jackson Koivun
2.1% probability at Kalshi

It didn’t take long for Jackson Koivun to card his first PGA Tour win, and he followed up the victory in the 3M Open with respectable T31 and T29 finishes over the past two weeks.

This track should suit his elite ball-striking and well-rounded game, too.

In addition to gaining true strokes across the board during the three-event run, Koivun also ranks eighth in this field in both tee-to-green play and driving accuracy, and 10th on approaches.

Sleeper pick to win: Rickie Fowler
1.2% probability at Kalshi

With Rickie Fowler’s game trending in the right direction, he has my attention after finishing T6 in this event while ranking sixth in the field in true strokes gained tee-to-green and fourth off-the-tee last year.

Fowler enters on a respectable T8-T18-T15 stretch, with ranks of 19th in tee-to-green play, 21st in driving accuracy, and 11th in putting in this field during the run.

This is also arguably the most well-rounded golf Fowler has played since the stretch leading into — and including — his last win in 2023.
