any reason not to like denver-8? interested to see how healthy fareed is, but i think nuggets will come out strong.. my other lean is grizzlies +5, feel that's too many points.

Hi fellars, Gonna take the hot team Knicks. They won the season series 3-1 and I think they keep the mojo going. Pierce dealing with a bad ankle. Think the Bulls total is low, Int their last 5 games the Bulls have averaged 196 and the Nets 201.8. Over is 11-4 last 15 meetings in Brooklyn.

I think the records will start at 0-0-0 for the playoffs- at least that is what Mavin said before.

I will recap and start from 0 for each handicapper while the positive record hol;ders form the regular season will have a table of their own. At least in the first stage to see where we headed too. And please don't forget to drop by baseball thread and contribute there as well what you've learned here and learn some there.

Hello Mavin...still here !!!
Haven't been around, but have refind my technics (for the umpteenth time) remember being introduced to the reverse line move at this thread.
It was a very good theory, but I just couldn't marry it with another method to reach that magic 55 % mark.
I think sports bettin is a good money making oppurtinity if your willing to accept a reasonable return.
Losing 8 in a row is a possibility and has happened to me before.
I've made about 300$ the last year betting as a hobby, and my friends disparage that.
but of course, they've lost big.
I find a mathetical system is the way to go because it takes emotion out of the game.
Your thread reminds me of the old "journal of handicapping" from GBC from the 80s. (that's a compliment)
GL with the nba playoffs and base is a marathon.

I'm really leaning NY Knicks. Line is at -7 now for me. I might even go with alternate line, something like -3.5 for 1.50 odds. There's only one thing holding me back still, this is indeed Boston. And when things like the tragedy in the Boston marathon happen it can either give teams a improved morale boost to be more focused, fight even harder and prove themselves or have the exact opposite effect.
I ended my score at 17-11-1 in the competition and I certainly learned a lot by following this thread, you could not even imagine. So my thanks and respect to you Mavin and all the other cappers who post here regularly.

i think people are heavy on BOS because of boston strong, but knicks are just sooo much stronger lol.. NEWYORK STRONG today folks, don't see carmelo being stopped, taking knicks by DD.
warriors, i initially like nuggets, but with fareed doubtful i kind of like the inside presence of GS and their 3 pt shooting prowless to keep this game close, still like nuggets to win, but if shots are falling should keep it close.
this is the playoffs right? i feel defense should show up at some point today, both teams gave up around 100ppg and score 101ppg and 106ppg.. none of these equal 211, fading the public and taking the under.. more like nuggets win 105-101 range..

NY Knicks -7.5
BKN Nets -4.5
I think the game in New York will be defensive battle in the first half. I think it will be hard for the Celtics to produce points with the return of Chandler. I think at some point in the second half, the Knicks will be able to find their shot and pull away.
They say defense wins championships but I'm not sure who puts up the points for the Bulls. Noah will still be hurt, rose not playing, and I'm not sure Boozer, Deng, or the rest can carry the load. The Nets didn't prove they can close games down the stretch, so I'm hoping they don't give the game away today. If they play smart, they should easily win by 8+.
