Like Indy and Atlanta over, the number is low and the over has been 4-1 last 5 meetings.  Also taking the over in the Rockets Okie game.  Should be fireworks and the over is 4-0 the last 4 times these teams met.  Finally taking the Heat, I hesitated because of the high number but I know they are well rested and will make a statement and the Bucks lost 7 of their last 9 , and are the only team with a losing record to make the playoffs.  Alright Mavin, lets see if I can get this right.

I was going to post earlier but was up all night working on numbers and patterns I had in my head- that's why I say numbers like or kind of because, I first work of what I remember like the numbers on 1h/2h grizz clips- then I got to my notes or the computer for extra info. I am also using wclc something that has been working and all the credit there goes to lrempel for bringing this to our attention and making me personally aware of its effectiveness. Also Cliff has been a lot of help in working numbers with me for second half totals system that I have been developing for quite sometime now- we are tearing it with the playoffs to see if its any diff than reg season and it only failed once in all the games yesterday! I think the one fail occurred because of the foul game that occurred in the forth quarter it was like 20+ fouls- the system does not account for that or overtime or game shams meaning when the score is so lobsided that all the benches start playing- we will continue to test this system and hope to have it ready for next season.

I would have posted earlier but got home from work just in time for they start of the early game and wanted to get a feel for the theories and intraday patterns of the day. Once I got in a zone didn't get a break until the end of the nets game to post. Lets see what today brings.

I don't see all 8 favorites winning Game 1's and I can't see the Heat or the Thunder losing.  I think if Hawks can attack Hibbert and put him in to foul trouble, they have a chance.  If Hibbert does not get in to foul trouble and somehow manages to be an offensive factor, the Hawks will have a tough day.

 

I think the Lakers and Spurs match up well on how they score points.  These two teams were going in different directions going in to the playoffs.  Hopefully it takes the Spurs awhile to get in to the swing of things.  The Lakers have been playing playoff basketball for weeks now.  This is game 1, not the series.

 

Heat are going to make a statement Game 1 in front of their home crowd.  This game may only be entertaining by the dunks.

durant and the boys will not let harden show them up in their house!! thunder crowd will be pumped as this will be a blow out! as long as rockets score 100, which i think they will, over is money here.. i'll say OKC 114-101.

i agree with phixer here in aspect defense will be played from the start, lakers are a different team now and kobe won't carry them, they'll have to grind out possessions get ball down low, big game for gasol, but shot clock ticks, scoring drops.. i'll say spurs 95-90

All the situation with Harden being on Houston team and coming back to OKC for a first playoff game will have it's influence on how the game will be played. The Thunder will want to prove again and again that they are a bit better without him.

I don't expect Miami Heat to destroy the Bucks and even think that the Bucks have a good shot at covering the game. Why? I know that Miami can afford toying with them. 
But I am convinced the Heat will score and a lot.
