since am up big testing with $20 parlay -7 clips and under 106.5

I initially have the game slowing down and being under or just around the total and with 212 and 110 already in the books 106 seems like a decent line- again the best is a test because skin in the game keeps you alert.

Embrace your losses and learn from them.
Today was a difficult day to make picks - Phixer, Turbo, KingMidas, Lopel - they all stayed away wisely rather than take picks they were not sure. More than that - some people I know outside of covers did not take picks - and I don't remember a day in last couple years they did that.
On the other hand - if you really like the play - take it. But draw some conclusions for later and take notes all the time.
The conceptions that did not work were OKC and Orlando at most. And one that did work was Over in OKC.
Overall - nothing bad happened and having one night with big losing effort does not make the weather change.

I knew what you mean, you seem to know what I want to say has to be math and probability mindset.

My live bets and second half bets were hedges as you know I always by the two points -110 and -150 to me is the same because is goes into a parlay and my single bets most times are 50-100 it may seem like a bigger deal if you bet 1k or 10k to lose the -40.

I pushed some and lost the parlay because of the Lakers- but more than made up for it with live bet on Heat.

What do you guys think about Home teams to cover between 2 teams out of the playoff chase? I said it the other day when I was in Philly that I thought they'd put up an effort for the crowd. What does the road team have to play for? But then again, what do the home fans have to come out for?

The only game that appealed to me was the OKC game but as you know I am a backer of HEAT NUGGETS OKC and I am on home loss watch on those teams and the SPURS so I when they face each other is when i said the loss will happen so i stood away and then after the 1H I saw the writing on the wall and went Nuggets and Under. I wonder who is next ... maybe the Spurs on 3/27/13 when they face the Nuggets, unless the warriors have a big game again like last time they faced the spurs.and nuggets then host the spurs on 4/10/13

I have pointed out many times that 1h and 2h should be treated differently meaning the 1h/2h of the season because of playoff implications. We should also look at who the tops seeds would play because matchups means alot. If you are on a seat that gets the Heat in the first round you must play well to get to a different seed lol

If you fail to post in the correct format, you will be scolded, because Vegas and the books refuse to give out money if you don't have the "discipline" to do things in the same exact format as everyone else.

Ha! That's a great summary. Actually applies to most posts around here.

Play the averages. Get a baseline and test it. Someone said the same thing about DET yesterday. Its nice when you make a call and it goes your way but you will find in time that betting on a team hitting a GS slam would pay off well but how often does it happen.

As a young trader I learned that if someone tells you if you bought MSFT in the 80s men you would have been set, but that was not predictable (same with AAPL in the late 90s) if you think that way you are thinking gambler if you think where can I get an edge on something that happens often and over time will rake in profits then you are thinking like a trader. Another example is if someone said gold could go to 1500 an its at 100 you could make a killing and you ask how much can I invest and when will this happen you are thinking like a gambler, if you ask what are the chances It can hit that number and how many times will I be able to get opportunities like this you are thinking like a trader.

Just some of my observation. I wish we could post pics on here so you could see my TA based short on aapl first week of Oct 2012 $650 and recent cover and long at $420 on 3/4/13 with stop at $415.

well said bro.. but never i predict games just because of the team.. i based it on the spread that i see and not just coz of the team ya your right bad team is bad and me seing the line went reverse was totally my bad that didn't expect it will go back to orig line before the game start.. also your right bad team won't have a great game often but that goes for the good team.. yah they r good and will win but are they going to cover? if im jst going to predict and bet based on the stats of every team then no doubt every game with miami,,, i understand what your trying to say and im putting it all in my notes,, to me visualizing the game isn't predicting but more of analyzing how the game should show based on the spread as even u once said chi won't be able to stop den unless den slows down and i find that you predicting how u can lose putting $ on den,, Like Mavin said learn from the lose and that's what ive been doing and im able to go up with my record but now gonna do more home work since im back to square with my 2 days losing streak lol

    Ditto.

As for Denver that shows you what I do every game i find a reason to bet it but also find out what my kryptonite could be on the pick and the chances of that being my down fall. Keep your friends close but your enemies closer!

CMJohnson. There's a medical explanation to the syndrome you're suffering from and I'm not saying this to belittle you our "genius capper" - the syndrome you're suffering from is "small peni s syndrome" and it is common with people who talk about their johnsons all the time (CMJohnson=See My Johnson).
If you'd be intelligent enough to compare your records to the records of people on this thread - you'd discover that in one day they make more profits than you will ever make in your entire life including your picks, your labor and the kidney you will have to sell soon if you will keep funding the losses of all your aliases.
I hate to belittle people - especially little people as yourself who have been punished by the nature by being thrown into the world where people have bigger johnsons and more brains by default than you will ever have. But at the same time I can't ignore the fact that you represent the whole 0.0000000000001 % of the Covers community. In electoral terms - you're a real johnson. Be well and don't forget a magnifying glass when going to urinate.

OMG well said Mavin, seriously CMJ no disrespect toward you but having a forum full of awesome folk who are trying to help each other make $ is not a bad thing. And Mavin wants picks posted a certain way for a reason, to make it easier for him to update everything. It's not like he's being paid to do this. And I have made lots of $ sports betting over the years I have had 6 straight months of profit and sometimes a few with losses but everyone has bad runs, even you because I have tracked you and your no more impressive than anyone else so go back to your thread and leave the negativity there, it's people like you that run good cappers and people off these threads.

    Or CMJohnson1 as my name.

So I'm not talking about my Johnson...I'm talking about my name.  And you can throw out all the typical "insults" that you want, the fact remains that you failed as an individual capper, and your group of cappers is still hitting at 50% and barely making any money at all.

    You're real moron.
Stating the truth about you and psychological pathology of people who are going out of their way to look for flaws in other people's affairs rather to look at themselves  - exactly what you do coming in here to start a trouble while I'm sure Mavin has never ever been to your thread, more so posted there - is pointing at your self deficiency and that is what Mavin tried to explain to you by calling it a small P syndrome
