Power Rating System: 30-26 (+$199)

breakdown:

MLB: 27-22 (+$197)

NFL: 2-3 (-$7)

CFB: 1-1 (+$9)

thats it for monday... couple of notes: if and when, i get my balance to $1250, ill move to a $25 wager in baseball or hockey.. at $1500 ill move to $30 and so on.... if we reach those levels and then fall back, i will not lower the bet amounts... once i reach an amount, ill stay.....

but in saying that here is the only goals that really concrn me..

Oct 1: balance $1150

Nov 1: balance $1323

Dec 1: balance $1522

Jan 1: balance $1750

Feb 1: balance $2013

and so on,,, we should double the account balance every 5 months. reaching the $100,000 goal in about 33 months... or about 1000 days..

today, i would have been around to post later but some days i am not available, so i have to post early.

with this system, there will be alot of treading water (hopefully), with a few very good days thrown in.........

over the past 8 days, there have been more plays per day than i had expected. i expected about 3-4 per day.... and the payback has been lower (+1.18), as i was expecting about (+1.25)...

i am treating this very seriously and plan on seeing it thru... i have to remain focused on the big picture and not let the "day to day" betting sway me too much....

a journey of 1000 miles, started with a single step... for us, its a journey of 1000 days, that we must take one day at a time... then focus on hitting the monthly goals and bam, we will be there...

yesterday was another day of treading water.. i lost -$2 but with a later wager on the padres, it would have been a break-even or profitable day..

ERBATIZ, most days, i will post the card very early in the day.... today cannot be one of those days.... there are too many (pickem) games on the board right now... i count 5 games, where there is probably going to be a play later in the day, when line movement starts...

for now, there is 2 for sure plays tonight... (Yanks) and (Padres), there could be as many as 5 more or there may be no more, depends on line movement today...

ill post my exact card, no later than 4:30 pm cst today and it could be sooner...

im very pleased with what ive seen from the NFL Ratings.. i spent an hour this morning, updating my ratings from week. plays for the NFL week 2, will be posted sometime on friday... i think that will be time each week.. i am going from a base bet of $10 to a bet of $15 for week 2 in the NFL... i feel confident enough to move slightly higher with the wager amount and by week 5, the NFL should work as well as the NHL or MLB systems..

ill be "in and out" today, if there are any questions, fire away.

Thanks, I think it's awesome you're sharing info you've obviously spent a lot of time and effort researching.  I plan on following/tailing you for as long as you keep this going.  One question; are you worried that as you become more and more successful and this thread gains momentum that you might actually influence lines?

brianshannon: this Power Rating System is the culmination of alot of time and work... i plan to keep it going in this thread, for as long as its successful or i reach the 100k mark. i do not think we will have to worry about influencing any lines, for at least quite some time. this system is based in some very solid stuff and im quite confident in the success that we will have in baseball and hockey.

bw: thanks, we will give it our best shot... this system is 100% mechanical and will live and die on its own merits. i put the thing together, so my work is finished. i simply plug the numbers in each day and look for the plays that qualify. personally, im glad that im not making any calls.... its won 2 straight days on the padres and i dont know if i would have bet on them either day, with the rockies at home and on a 10 game winning streak.

lets just focus on hitting the marks on the first of each month, raising our bet amounts at the appropriate levels and take it one day at a time...

wednesdays  entire card will be up by 10:30 am cst tomorrow...

just a reminder that the picks are 100% Mechanical and does not factor any opinion that i may have into the equation. a (.500) record will work great..

this entire thread will probably "live or due" on the baseball and hockey betting... any profit in football or the nba will be a +plus, although i feel the NFL will be profitable.. college sports will play a very small role, in what im doing here.

for MLB only, our current payback is running very close to (+1.20) that is about 5 cents off from what i expected but we have had more plays than i anticipated... im expecting only 3-4 per day for an average but i play whatever it selects..

rough little day on wednesday but its just another day...

light card today and we are halfway thru the first month. good time for a checkup.

roughly halfway thru the month and ive met and surpassed my goal of a thread bankroll of $1150.... bottom line i want to grow the account by 15% each month. in order to do this, im going to play a Power Rating System that i have developed. the vast majority of the plays will come from baseball and hockey but i do expect the NFL to be profitable. this is going to be an incredibly long and boring journey (but boring in wagering is usually a good thing), so do not get excited with the daily ups and downs, just hang in there.
