Modification of TB's calculation as noted.....One Question...SB, essentially, as an example,  turns a single into a double, and adds a base.. correct?....BB will be eliminated from my calculations of TB

Acortazz, thanks for the heads up on ATL last night...didn;t have time to reply thanks to my Friday night golf league, which is another thing I can wager on and have a pretty good lean on the reselt:-)).

MME - Good question. As stated by Tom Tango the BsR formula is not absolute and has various forms. IMHO if using CS stats in the formula you would use SB. I will do some additional research to see what I can find. I would caution that Sabermetrics can become very detailed. IE: how many decimal places should be carried out. Every individual needs to make a personal choice on how in depth of a formula is necessary in order to a arrive at a reasonable outcome within the context one is working.
     Knowledgeable comments welcome.

Hey Guys, I have been watching this thread for quite some time and I wanted to input some information since it is quite obvious that we are all here to learn from SN and at the same time make some money right?  Well here it is point of information  1) Knowledge is always power  2)  If you are here to make a large amount of Money 'NOW"  then you are at the wrong place, since it will not happen (trust me), BUT, if you are here to make money down the line...then listen on.  In order to make your money, then first off " STOP " making 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 picks, what you should be doing is making your best 2 picks (since the odds are better in your behalf), start with $25 on a two pick, when that wins then you take $50 from your total winnings, and bet it the next day on a TWO pick, then on the Third day you take the $100 you made from the previous day and make another TWO pick and bet this.  After 14 bets your original $25 will turn into $512,000.00.  You guys already know this, So don't be greedy, learn from everyone and remember all this is a Gamble in life, but when you leave your mind open to knowledge then you leave it open to opportunities

Yes you are right, and it is quite hard, but if you elimate games, by way of any game that a team wins 3 or more or loses 3 or more, from the existing games, then you eliminate the games where the underdog is facing a top 20 pitcher, then you eliminate the games where the bookies are giving the underdogs +150 or better, your odds are alot better.   Since you are then faced with only handicapping 3 to 5 potential games, from there you take your RC calculations and determine your largest seperations, and Yes you can either take or give the points away, but wouldn't it be better to win 25 dollars versus losing it, since if you look at MLB you will see not to many games are serperated by 1.5 points right?  The RC-27 Theory is Great and SN has help alot, but if the games don't look right, then wait and put the 14 days on hold until you see that definte 2 games.  Besides I am only here to learn as well, Me I am already up, both in knowledge as well as from the bookies.  I did not mean to insult anyone here okay?

Another way is to split your 2 best picks into 2 1 picks and adjust your wager, this way if one loses and the other wins then you break even

    Sevenleighton,

I think you missed the point on why SN plays so many games. Plus if you could hit 14 games in a row than you should be playing the lotto, its a way better reward.

Yes you are absolutely right in regards to picking 14 in a row, but it is not impossible, since with oddsmaker I am already up 10 in a row!!!, How?  well I listen to everything SN has documented, I do my research the night before, (Pitcher Comparison, Accurescore, Betting Trend, I then do my calculations, and dismiss the most obvious game, close games, until I see one, maybe two games, then instead of putting all my eggs in one basket, I split the two games into seperate bets, this way if one of my bets goes south, then  have at least half a chance to win it back with the second.  But if they both go south, then all the extra money I made on the previous 10 wins is still there to re-coop.  Either way I don't lose.   But hey I am not trying to alienate anyone here.  Like everyone else I want to gain only knowledge to make me a better handicapper, and if YOU, SN or anyone else can help make it work then Great, since I plan on being around for awhile and you will see me inputting new theorey's and idea's to make this project work.  But I do have one final thing to say to everyone, and that is "Ooops!" and also I did bet on Pitts to win the game
