May people on these threads list their picks, but usually nothing more. I don't want their picks. I do want to do my own work, I'm new to it and was hoping for some guidance.

There were some who studied what SN brought to the table until they had mastered the method. They are not the ones criticizing him...
That should tell you all you need to know.
The ones that are criticizing him are those who didn't put in the hard work. They wanted free picks, and on top of that they wanted to know how much to bet on each play. Then, when they didn't understand the bet sizing, and assumed it 'fake', they found it easier to assume that the method would have to be fake as well. This is how the 'public mind' works. To complete the cycle, they then come together and agree that what they don't understand (the method) never had any value in the first place...
I would never even share a method like this with the public. SN did. But instead of appreciating him for it, people who don't know this business (who will always be in the majority) throw him under the buss.
And you suggest his social skills are a problem? You guys have it all backward.
Copy and paste every valuable post in this tread. Print it, bind it, and study it. Don't expect ready made answers. The whole point, in this industry, is that you have to learn to think for yourself. This thread is a perfect example of how few people are willing to do that. And why sports betting will continue to be profitable for those who do put in the hard work. This method is not rocket science, but it is beyond the reach of the general public. Not because it is difficult, but because the general public wants things 'easy'.
Wow.. I've been gone for a few months, cuz of all the negative energy here and ignorant people. I guess some things will never change..
The above quote by DarkHorse21 is as correct as it gets, and is exactly why I left.. people who put in the work understood it and customized it in a way which worked for them. I'm surely not about to start engaging in another debate over sports_Network.. His NFL System didn't work, big deal - he's human.. people make mistakes. His MLB was phenomenal. Yes, it's over 80 pages, an people complain an question if he actually hit 70%.. yet these people would rather whine about it than take the hour out of their lives an go through page-by-page and add up the record..
If you can't take an hour to do that, you surely won't be able to put in the 4-6 hrs/day to do this Professionally. This thread is for people who want to do Sports Investing as a career - not a hobby. And I don't mean that as a smug comment, it's just a true statement.
Don't feel bad cuz you don't understand all of it.. there's a reason why 99% of people lose money at this, and 1% make a living with it.. otherwise Vegas and Sportsbooks would be out of business. I mean, come on now.
I applaud the effort to start a new thread and try to continue the effort.. much success and many profits to you this season.

I want to take a moment to thank you. I came across this thread a little while ago and it was my favourite read to date on the covers forum! Wish I had been around when it was current. Great idea in giving it a bump maybe it will come alive again!

If anybody has the formula - I am more than willing to put it in a spreadsheet - and totally automate it.
Meaning - it will pull all the data from the web automatically and perform any calculations necessary with any filters needed to display the correct plays each day.
Any takers?
