Friggin 0-0 in the Leverkusen game. What was the Over/Under there, .25? Are 0-0 ties in soccer something that happens often? I can't believe that neither team can score for over 90 minutes. That must be terrible to watch in person, or on TV tbfh.

Best of Luck DJ, think I'll jump aboard the Novara play. Any particular thought process for the 4 Draw calls all in the French Ligue 2 today?
Cheers ![]()

Other than the Totals are all set at 2, which you discussed yesterday. There are 4 other games in French Ligue 2 as well today with totals of 2, but they aren't a play.

My main priority is me, not tailers. I'll post when I can but I'll never make posting a priority, I need to get my own bets in first.

I think the request to post the plays a bit earlier is a far one. I think I speak for all of us tailing you when I say that we completely understand if you have other things in your life going on, and you simply cannot make it to the computer to post your plays.
But keep in mind that if we miss plays because they were announced just 1-2 minutes before the kick off, we potentially may have a losing day instead of a winning day (by missing the plays). I also understand that they plays we missed could end up losing, in which case we'll actually gain money.
I think the entire point of following your plays are to see if we can essentially *double our bankroll*. If we miss plays along the way, we might as well not follow at all.
If your answer to sahlsa's questions would have been "sorry guys I just didn't have time today", then I see absolutely no problem with that. But the response you gave was rather "bah who cares about tailers I only care about me". If that's the case, I'm not sure any tailers are actually acomplishing the goals of following this thread.
Please don't take this the wrong way. I'm just trying to make you understand that a few of us are rather dedicated to following you through this thread. It's not as "non-chalant" as you made it seem just now..

I understand what you're saying here, but I completely side with DJ on this. As someone who has also kept an extensive thread of picks in the past, the main priority is capping the games and getting your own wagers in on time. Sometimes, due to life circumstances, capping isn't complete until just moments before a game begins and then we must get the wager in just moments before cut-off. This happened to myself last night as I finally put in my wager on the Boston Bruins with less than 1 minute before it went off the board.
I, myself, kept threads here moreso to keep a documented record of what I was doing, along with my online spreadsheets. I, nor DJ, take any responsibility of anyone else's bankroll, so I think his statement is fair.
Altho I do understand how it can be frustrating to miss out on a pick (especially when it wins). I rather a pick be posted just moments before game time than to rush the capping of the game and post a loser to fit a "time schedule". There's too many winners over the course of the calender year to worry about missing out on a pick here an there. Stregthen the cardio for the marathon.

Fair arguments from both sides... but the bottomline is the only way I get paid from this is if I win, which means I need to make my own wagers first. I could understand the complaint if I was a tout but I have no agreements with anyone. Hell, I could post AFTER the games started and people would get mad but I could still do it. As much as I'm humbled by people tailing me, I can't ever think of their priorities before mine. Besides, this is the first time it's been a problem so it's clearly not a habit of mine.
As for how I select draws, I normally stick a few select leagues that historically have more draws per game. As mentioned before, I always play draws that have totals of 2 and preferably favoured towards the under. Then, I look at the spread of the game and avoid games where one team is favoured heavily (such as -1 or even -0.5 when it is in negative moneyline). I then look at league tables and do a matchup analysis based on team stats followed by a common opponent analysis which gives me a good indicator of which style they'll bring to the game. I then check starting lineups and various online "previews" to get a general feel of the game and compare that to my previous analysis. If everything lines up, I pull the trigger.

My intention is NOT to have people tailing me... This journal is to track my 'system' and demonstrate profitability. I figured many people could be encouraged by my style of play and how simple it is to make money if you stick to a good system with proper money management.
You can easily get an idea of how I play and use it in your own capping. For example, one day where I was taking awhile to post my plays, paul_scholes posted his soccer picks a few minutes before mine and they were VERY similar. It's not like I'm a rocket scientist here; hell, you could probably flip a coin and do just as well.
Anyways, I'm done arguing this point, it's mute. If you don't like it (or anything in this thread for that matter), leave. You think I'm going to stop posting because my feelings are hurt that no one is tailing me? Ya right brother... I did the other thread before this one by myself with barely anyone watching and didn't mind at all!

Again, I wasn't complaining and tried to "walk the line" of insulting dj very carefully. Last thing I wanted to hear was "K fuck you guys, I won't post at all. Now look what you've done". That would be bad for us all, since I do believe that even if we miss a play or two per week, we'll still be way ahead in the green.
Just please don't do it deliberately, that's all. And I'm not implying that you ever would. I'll be more consciuos myself of the kickoff times, and check this thread on my phone 5 minutes before they go off.
My apologies again if I sounded obscene.

Helluva soccer day again, very nice
Very nice, hope you all made some money!
I passed on the draws but fired away on Novara cuz DJ had it in his other thread, too. Nice easy winner. Thanks for making the last couple days at work less boring for me, HaHa.
Good Luck on NHL tonight, I'm only on Atlanta. ![]()
