BAY AREA BASH BROTHERS FANTASY BASEBALL UPDATE!

California Bears (Booyahz) defeated Championship (Krams) in the battle for 1st place 8-6. The Bears were led by Curtis Granderson who hit 3 HR's in one game. Granderson ended the week with 4 HR's and 5 RBI's and a .880 slugging percentage to lead the Bears to 1st place for the first time in the short team history. Championship now drops to 3rd place.

Blue Crushers (Crushalot) pound Tssajos 8-4 behind a monster week by 1b Freddie Freeman! Freeman batted .478 with 3 HR's and a 1.087 Slugging percentage. Let's not forget Freeman had 14 RBI's to lead his team to victory. OF Matt Kemp stayed hot belting 3 HR's and 6 RBI's to help the Blue Crushers move into 2nd place 1/2 game behind Championship!

Str8ballin Nips Fireballs (Smoothd) 7-6
The Fireballs lost another game despite overcoming a horrific start earlier in the week with pathetic hitting. At one point the Fireballs were batting less than .100 only to rebound a respectable .268 but it wasn't enough to pull out the victory. The Fireballs made several major moves this week in a attempt to upgrade the team. 2 Trades were made and a couple of Free Agent pickups. The Fireballs traded 2b Brandon Phillips to the California Bears in exchange for SP Jason Vargas. The other trade was with the Shanks (Formerly Aggies) and the Fireballs sent SS Jose Reyes and SP Trevor Cahill packing in returning for 2 struggling Aces Matt Latos and Adam Wainright. Fireballs GM Smooth says the trades were made to upgrade the team so to avoid a disastrous start to the season.
