This is my oldest Son. Sgt. Derrick S. Thompson II US Marine. Some of you guys know about him already. My Son is being deployed to Afghanistan tomorrow Monday January 23 for 1 year. May God protect our fine young men and women and bring my Son back home safely. His duty is a dangerous one which worries me. He will be training the Afghan soldiers. The same Taliban infiltrated Afghan army that keeps turning on our boys while we train them. It's a tough job but his unit is ready for duty. My personal opinion is it's time to bring our boys and girls home. It's been 11 years now. Both world World Wars didn't last this long. Please pray for our brave men and women who lay everything on the line for the sake of their country. Thank you. God bless the United States of America!

ok I said after the ravens/pats game that the catch by the raven wr should of been a TD.......and now after seeing the replay in slow motion,,, he clearly has the ball and is back pedaling 3 or 4 steps before the patriots knock the ball out of his hands and the wr was not going to the ground...........this clearly was a td and should of not went down to a kick.......no doubt in my mind, I cant remember how much time was left, if the ravens could of challenged, why the hell didn't they but im sure it was inside 2minutes, why no review on a play that could of decided the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here is the rule, only if a player is going to the ground.....
Rule 8, Section 1, Article 3, Item 1 of the NFL Rule Book (page 51) states that “if a player goes to the ground in the act of catching a pass (with or without contact with an opponent), he must maintain control of the ball after he touches the ground, whether in the field of play or the end zone. If he loses control of the ball, and the ball touches the ground before he regains control, the pass is incomplete. If he regains control prior to the ball touching the ground, the pass is complete.”
so if you watch in slomo like it was on espn with skip bayless you can see he catches the ball and back pedals 3 or 4 steps and then pats knock it out of his hands........so the refs can fuck up games even with replay............so retarded.........i think in playoffs teams should be able to challene any play, as many times as they want............not to say the patriots wouldn't of went down the field an won it, but the ravens should of regained the lead!!!!

Pats should have gotten a 1st down in the 1st half and instead of challenging they kicked a FG. Game had the opportunities to go over but these 2 plays kept it under. Refs always fuck up games. As a Steeler fan the top 2 I remember are when they won the coin toss in OT and DET was given the ball (Bettis called it right) and the other was Polamalu returning a pick at the end of a game for a TD against the Chargers and the points would have gotten Pitt the cover. The ref said no TD because time expired before he scored. The NFL both times apologized. Big Deal. The pick for TD would of cost Vegas over 64 million. I know I lost money that day.
NFL is always handicapped within the game with bad calls or non calls and usually in favor of the books. I should of remembered the Pats are the one of the general public betting favorites. Which is why I think they wont cover the Superbowl
they need to get the replay calls right and stop the BS over all the variables and limits on the replay.

Sorry man, wasn't a catch, he had one foot down and ball was knocked out before 2nd foot came down. Even if he got both feet down and then got ball knocked out, it's still no TD, you must possess the ball. I don't know what you mean by backpeddling,reciever was running forward when he attempted the ctach. Was pretty cut and dry to me, no catch.

I remember when 2 feet down and possession was a TD, there was no knocking the ball out after........the rules sure have changed. My favorite move as a defensive player when I played football was smacking a guy in the earhole so he couldnt hear shit in the huddle for a couple of plays........lol

Well, Carolina continued my streak and I'm at a mighty W2. WHOA! Honestly, Winnipeg outplayed them in the 3rd and they were lucky Ward stole the game. I haven't really looked at the lines closely but at first glance I like Orlando to rebound and the Knicks to cover against the Bobcats without Augustin. I'm undecided, though, and I'll probably wait until tomorrow to lock anything in.

When I looked at the play in question I immediately said it wasn't a TD. Lots of people are blaming Evans and yeah he should have held on to the ball but what about Moore. Give this kid some credit. Cut by the Raiders in September and then again by the Patriots after they signed him following a workout at San Jose St. Moore was on the practice squad through most of December. Now Sterling Moore single handedly helped the Patriots get to their 7th Super Bowl. Sterling Moore made the play Lee Evans didn't. That's the way I saw it.
