I don't see how on Earth you could put a W22 on U20 World Cup Soccer in a match between two great evenly matched teams. Congrats to No Clue 1! He has some steel balls! I give him that much. At this rate, it seems he is destined to fall short throwing out picks like that. But that's enough. He won another one and he deserved it.

Also, it's mostly numbers but it's certainly not all numbers...use your 6th sense or whatever and smell the fish when they're around...there were 2 times in my short 8 game streak where I looked at the expert picks...I didn't listen and they were WRONG both times.

This thread is really not about strategies as much as it is about brotherhood and sharing information. If you want to post a strategy, then that's cool too;but as you stated, it is mostly about the numbers.
You are correct though, there is so much more to it than that, but the numbers play a big part. It is also about momentum, hot and cold streaks, travel, and about a million other different things.
I like what you said about the experts. They certainly don't know everything and when they fall, they fall hard. You are certainly wise not to blindly follow them.
Well this is getting more long winded than I intended, so let me just close by saying that you are making all the right moves. I think it would be cool to see you go 25-0! Got into an argument on SFTC.....Im done on those boards.....not even curious whats being said on there
saw on betonline that Honka was at -1 at -125 and got all kinds of backlash about a .5pt that betonline is not offering
I never bet for a tie and my argument was at -1 anyone on betonline taking that is saying Honka will win by 2.......I would never bet on soccer but almost considered picking again
they were saying that a team who is +1 at a +105 would be at -190 at +1.5....... I dont see it but it is soccer
only wanted input....forgot where I was at......definitely not like on this board
I have problems sleeping many nights now I can go lay down highly irritated and do a pretend sleep

Welcome Vectorfsm! Thanks for accepting my invite. I see Bama and the boys have given you a proper welcome. So I all I can do is cosign what Bama has already said. We have got a great group of guys and we all support each other. You don't have to be winning to post. On the contrary thats when you need to post the most is when you're in a slump. Sometimes someone will have an angle that could help you. I must say fellas that I picked Brazil in the U20 World Cup. I wasn't surprised when No Clue picked them. I lost on my pick yesterday with Argentina going to PKs with Portugal so to go to PKs again today. I'm glad Brazil pulled it out. Even though both teams were evenly matched. Brazil is a Soccer factory thats what made me pick them. My win was tempered when I saw No Clue had picked Brazil alsobut like I said I wasn't surprised because Brazil is a great soccer country. I do believe he fall short of the 27 wins needed to get the stash.

I was surprised No Clue would pick such a close game for W23. Brazil definitely is a soccer factory, but they were without there best u20 player (Nemar). Spain scored the most goals in the group stage (11). I know you got to go with your gut sometimes and Brazil surely has the pedigree, but Spain is now the new Brazil and had a very loaded U20 roster. As the game clearly indicated it could have gone either way. So i say congrats to everyone that picked Brazil, you surely have some guts

Also a good play today might be the St. Louis Cardinals. Pittsburgh has lost 7 straight at home (against san diego and the cubbies) and currently just dropped a 3 game set in Milwaukee. Pittsburgh's starting pitcher is 0-2 with close to a 6.00 era in his past 3 starts. St. Louis is also very much in the NL central race and Pittsburgh has fallen 13 games out. Westbrook is also 5-1 in his last 8 road starts. Just something i was researching before making my pick today. GL to everyone today.

Yea I was leaning towards that last night as well...I'm sort of scared to bet on the 1st game in a series though...I like to see the texture of the matchup first...but frankly, if I didn't have a streak, I would be totally confident going with the Cards
