No run=no fun or the Saints. They haven't been running the ball well lately and when they do, they can pile on points. But now the Colts are going to shore that up and force them three and long all day shlong. Colts in a romp!! Manning won't be denied. Under is also the call becuase they'll have to play defense at somepoint to protect any lead whoever gets the lead. It won't be a run ang gun and whoever gets the ball last wins it.

     One of the posters here submitted a thread that NO might be effected by the "E.M.O. Factor", that might be used to consider them as the bet to be sided. This factor refers to the emotional or motivation side of a team. As a capper whom specializes in "E.M.O", I will clearly state that it is no longer valid as a capping consideration, in this game. This poster in the past has hinted that NO might be so motivated due the Katrina debacle,that it would spur them to play over their heads for city of 'Nawlins.  95 %  of all the motivation plays I've tracked show that after a year (on all different psychological factors)- there is no more EMO in effect! The Saints, not counting 2005 when Katrina struck, had aprox. 64 regular season games, not counting any playoff appearances. If they couldn't bring home the Lombardi Trophy during that time, then it stands to reason, it certainly has no effect any longer!  However, if the Saints should win, I'm no doubt going to hear QB Brees, and owner Tom Benson, telling the whole world that we won it for New Orleans, and their suffering by Katrina!

Colts starting cornerback Jerraud Powers is also questionable for the game with a left foot injury. The rookie practiced on Friday this week and insists he will be ready.

- If a team scores more than 32 points in the Super Bowl they are a perfect 18-0 straight up. The Saints have averaged 38.0 ppg this postseason while the Colts team total for the game is set at 31

 The average total in Super Bowls played in Miami is 45.9 points

First of all... this game's gonna go OVER!  Both Manning and Brees are among the NFL's all-time bests at carving up defenses... and, with today's game being played on grass... it'll only slow up the rush for these two masters.  Looking for a high scoring game, no doubt.

(There are seven NFL QBs to ever throw for 4,000 yds in a season, while completing 68% or better... and we got two of them in this game... OVER!)

Let's face it, Manning's probably the best player that'll be stepping onto the field today... but, who's gonna have the best "supporting cast"?  The New Orleans Saints have the deepest and most talented offensive weapons in the league this year... hands down. 

Therefore, it can be reasoned that this Super Bowl's gonna be decided by which QB is most effective. 

To me... Brees looks like the guy.  When facing the toughest NFL opposition... teams that, to that point, had won 70% or more of games played... Brees is 19-5 ATS, including 5-0 SU and ATS this season! 

Meanwhile, Manning... versus the same level of competition (win pct of .700 or better) is an eyebrow raising 9-17 ATS but, get this... if you take a closer look at Manning's competition, he's just 4-4 SU and, believe it or not... 1-7 ATS  if the opponent has won 70% and is off an ATS loss (Saints failed to cover the number vs the Vikes).

What about this year's common opposition?  There were five teams that both the Saints and Colts played.  Saints: 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS.  Colts: 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS.

Finally... the Saints played eight AFC teams over the past two seasons: 8-0 SU and 7-1 ATS. 

This year?  How 'bout 4-0 in old-school ass-kicking fashion!  New England 38-17; Miami 48-34; NY Jets 24-10; Buffalo 27-7.

Hey... who knows?  Colts might pull it out... but my play is confidently:

   Hi Easy Pics (my Lex Luther of a friend!)  I am doing fine, and you Sir?  How do I specialize in "EMO"?       After capping for many years, I could not find plausible explainations when football statistics were telling me otherwise. No matter how I manipulated the "numbers", there were always the annoying inconsistencies between them, and the actual result ATS. Furthermore, while I make very accurate power ratings, many times I was finding the number "bounce"- either exceeding or deflated in worthwhile value.  By chance, many years ago, I had purchase a few good books on football capping. Everything I read , I tested. Most, especially the systems, were heaved, as useless garbage. However the most promising books discussed various so called EMO (motivational factors) that effect how diffferent teams end up playing their next game. So in toto, each season I take my list of each EMO factors, and chart before the season starts, how each NFL team reacts in different situations leading up to the next game.  So the magic formula is: EMO + power ratings + off/def "Big Play" stats.  Personally, I have  don't play up the injury factor to any great extent. Sorry, for the long winded explaination.
