No harm to the country? Is that based on you having your team of experts look over the plane for every type of security breech. Why exactly does your idol need this plane, that wont even be done before he leaves office? So us real tax payers can pay for the plane getting fixed, then trumper can walk out the door with basically a brand new jet?

The golf clubs I received were 5 years old & ready to use unlike this 12 year jet that is no longer manufactured & on the sales lot for over 5 years. Sometimes free gifts end up costing tons of money.
Extensive work & money will be spent on this jet while Boeing plans to deliver 2 new AF1 planes in 2027. Trumpy will make sure he gets his new toy before he receives the Boeing birds whether the gift plane is secure or not. Sounds like a waste of time & money to me. A civilian aircraft will take significant modifications before it can be considered secure so says Troy Meink, Air Force secretary. With an administration that preached a reduction in government spending, this seems like a boondoggle to me.
The funds for this hypocrisy will come from us, the taxpayers while the new proposed budget bill reduces Medicaid assistance to millions of Americans. This is not a "one time" cost as staffing & equipment etc will cost approximately 135 million per plane per year.
Little Donnie Do Nothing shouldn't feel Qatar thinks he's special. They gave away jets to Erdogan, Saleh & even Saddam Hussein. Qatar gives away planes like other countries give away medals. Only stupid people would turn down a "free" jet, right?
