What are you really afraid of?

Trump has just officially accepted the Qatari plane to one day serve as Air Force One.  So he should immediately be impeached, correct?

Well, there is surely a legal conversation to have but some of the responses are interesting.  But what are we really scared of?

Oh, having flow Qatar Airways from Dulles to Indonesia I can confirm it is an excellent jet.

Conflicts of interest, inappropriate interaction with foreign governments especially those with awful human rights abuses. Go search on Youtube for Trump blasting Obama for dealing with the middle east countries when they have numerous human rights violations.

My head is doing this and i truly cannot grasp how anybody can defend trump and this plane non sense. It really has come down top if trump does something there no way in hell its wrong and illegal.  How can these magas keep defending trumps action which go against OUR CONSTITUTION . I honestly am dumb founded. Its like if trump said that nobody is allowed to speak out in public and if caught doing it, you will be put in jail. I believe magas would go along with it, because trump said it

As stated there will be a legal challenge based on what will be vastly different interpretations of law.

Trump does wrong all the time, easily admitted.  Just generally not that big an issue....well to me anyway.  Very similarly to many of Biden's missteps.

Conflicts of Interest.  

Mostly, doing business with foreign countries is inherently wrought with conflicts of interest on a spectrum.

Human Rights

For a while the right went on and on about some guy in China called Uyghur but the left insisted nothing to see here enough to disrupt business.  I recall an earlier thread here talking about equal application of standards.  Human rights have been violated long before this post and will long after both here and abroad.

As a noble deterent in American politics?  

None of these add up for me.  As with CD, I do not know how any legal argument will play out but I know two things:

1) On its surface, doesn't seem like a good idea 

2) If it happens, not terribly worried about the way of life in America or becoming inservant to Qatar.

 Did Trump campaign against this exact situation in 2016? He is on tv in a debate stating exactly the opposite of this choice and doing so quite strongly.

This is the definition of hypocrisy and is why Trump is a complete loser flip flop thug. When someone else does the act then it is the worst thing in the world, when he does it then it is a big beautiful non-issue.

When someone takes a stance and then does the opposite that has to mean something, but with Trump nothing means anything.

Exactly. If you close out a nation China will move in and the main reason is Trump is trying to paint Iran into a corner. The more middle east nations he connects with the more isolated Iran becomes. Taking the jet does not violate the constitution unless he uses it for personal use. And that is where the trolling came to play, IMO. No donating it to Trump Library, etc. But if yes Trump uses it for personal use after his presidency he, IMO, has violated the Constitution.

He negotiated a good deal for Boeing to build the new Air Force 1 last term and it looks like Boeing is now losing money on it and dragging their feet.

The cost and time needed for retrofit is the question.

Please go to the library tomorrow and actually learn about the Constitution, cause clearly you dont seem to know that congress has to approve the gift, not some fox news host acting as a defense secretary.  Also estimates are that getting this plan up to air force one standards will take 1 billion or more and they dont know if the work will even be done before trump has to leave office, which we all know hes not gonna. So the tax payers have to pay for the other  planes that are getting built and we have to eat the cost of this plane (because its a better luxury jet then the current air force one.)  So if this plane wont be done before he has to leave office and the other planes will be ready by then, why are we accepting this plane?  Oh thats right, forgot one little detail.  This luxury jet will be gifted to trump when he leaves office for his so called library, which we all know is total bullshit.  Why exactly does trump get to leave office with this jet as a gift.  Come on please explain all you maga budget hawks.  Please tell us why we have to eat this expense for trump, all while if trumps big beautiful bill passes, 13 million with lose their health care and there will be 500 billion in cuts to medicare, you know the thing some of you magas might be on now or maybe even your parents.  But hey keep defending the orange criminal.
