The National Parent Teachers Organization said today it was pleased with many of President Obama’s new proposals to improve school security but that his call for more armed guards at schools “comes as a disappointment.”
Obama spelled out a series of steps to help make schools safer for students, including hiring as many as 1,000 more school resource officers and counselors.
And:
President Obama’s Comprehensive School Safety Program would give $150 million to school districts and law enforcement agencies to hire school resource officers, school psychologists, social workers, and counselors.

Unless those straw purchases are done by our Federal government to allow weapons to get in the hands of the Mexican drug cartels. An orchestrated effort at gun control - to cite (make up?) stats showing how many weapons made in the US make it down to Mexico. Of course the Obama administration left out the fact that they were behind it and those guns were paid for by our tax dollars. When caught just claim Executive priviledge to protect your corrupt Attorney General. Scumbags!

I wouldn't because I have convictions in my beliefs. I realize, as Club usually points out, that right wing convictions is an oxymoron.
Ironically, the poster you are defending claims to have voted for a 3rd party Presidential candidate because he did not support either of the main parties, even though the 3rd party had no chance. It seems that someone who claims to do that wouldn't change a position based on what someone else is doing.

Yes 100 percent. I have always said only law abidding people should be allowed to own weapons and anybody that truly is law abidding shouldnt have anything to hide having a background check before getting a weapon.
