 The numbers are not final, how can you say the numbers were off when they are not final? It will take 3-4 months of revisions to be final, what exactly are you saying that numbers matter when first the projection made is not numbers it is a guestimate based on historical trends, that is not numbers or any material information and second the initial "number" is not accurate, it never is.

So if you want to pat Trump on the back please wait until the "numbers matter" is final and revisions are finished. What the better course is to have the BLS stop using projections and stop reporting fresh unrevised and not final figures, let it be a rolling 3-4 month number not an incomplete inaccurate figure.

How many other BLS heads have been fired for "numbers matter" "misses" and if said "miss" resulted in a cut would the firing have taken place? Stop deflecting as he fired that person when he did not get his rate cut and just used this as a very very weak excuse and whipping post to retaliate. Yeah the FED cuts rates because of unrevised inaccurate BLS data.

I can discuss Trump and I wont revert to childish crap like a one off public speaking example..with Trump the public speaking laugher is like every single day and decades of examples. 

My beef with Trump is the way he is an abusive dictator who is condescending, petty, immature and discriminatory. I'd pick Harris or Pence or Mr Bain Capital over Trump for the exact same reason, Trump is an abuser of people and a zero ego thug. I would pick anyone with higher character qualities and who has respect for the office over Trump who has none. I'd even pick an awful Clinton over Trump and that would be a crappy pick but I cannot think of too many I would place Trump over, maybe that goof ball Kennedy and that George Santos and maybe the current VP, i would MAYBE pick Trump over them, but outside that sheesh I cannot think of hardly any other politicians I would say are worse than Trump.

 Forget Trump for a moment if you can.......this is about Harris & our good fortune that she's done in fed gov't.

 I do not share your view on Harris as I think Ive stated multiple times but given you started this retaliatory thread a long while back and it has 16 pages I kinda think I know your view on her so what is there to talk about?

She is a good public speaker, Ive seen many examples of her speaking in public and in fact I have not seen what you are referencing about meandering and wandering but that tells me you are seeking that kind of content so given that social media makes any kind of content easily available I suppose you could find plenty to suit your agenda, I just have not seen any and that is likely because I am not seeking to find negative content on her. That is a nice way of suggesting that the perspective of the seeker determines the outcome of the search. You seek to find the negative on her and I do not, nor do I go seeking the negative on any politician including Trump. 

My comment about her public service is yet again a difference in agenda, I do not seek to degrade Harris and what she has done with her multiple years of service no more than I seek to find only positive content on her public service, I only stated that she has MORE public service than Trump has..this is a fact it is not even up for discussion. My comment was she has MORE experience and past history as a public servant than Trump, thats all I said and will say.

Now since you do not want to compare or talk about Trump thats fine I do not need to, nothing I need to say and I do not think there is ANY comparison between the two and I think you feel the same way but in polar opposite directions. You have a very jaded view of her and seek to put her down and minimize her where I do not share that view, my view on her is likely neutral I have not spent the time on her career so my comments were only regarding the facts I stated about she has more time in public service and it is my opinion that ANY public servant has done positive things, you summarize her career as liberal and negative where I do not.

I do not seek out negative content on her nor do I seek out negative content on anyone so I have no idea how you formed your opinion but in the end it is yours to have. You asked me about her it was not me who sought out your view on her, you have made it clear where you stand.  Yes.  All of them have been bad. The initial numbers and the adjusted numbers.  

These are the numbers that you claimed were not that far off.  They were.  This is what you have to understand to start with.  

Again, we have been saying for some time now the numbers coming from there simply do not jibe with the economic activity.  

Incompetence, sloppiness, laziness, or worse — it does not matter.  She needed to be fired along with everyone over there.

The numbers are not created from the BLS, the BLS tabulates survey data they receive from participating companies. The NUMBERS are not owned or created by the BLS, the miss was not due to the BLS, it would be like blaming the light bulb for not working when the power is turned off at the main of your house. The BLS sends out standardized surveys that companies fill out, the COMPANIES are the source of the data,  not the BLS. You cannot MISS a number when you are not the source of the MISS. 

The BLS puts out projections based on historical data COMPILED from companies that fill out the surveys, the companies are the owners of the data, blame the paper for someone writing a wrong answer on a test that is your thesis here and it is erroneous.

Go talk to the companies who own the data to place blame on NUMBERS MATTER, it is curious how you who seem quite intelligent cannot understand the origin of the data, I can see how Trump the clown can get it wrong, he has no idea what is going on outside of what his tee time is but YOU I would expect a bit better understanding of the data origin and ownership.

I blame the paper for my answer being wrong on my exam....ok that works.

 The numbers are not hers...the numbers are the companies that fill out the surveys. Not sure how any other understanding of how the BLS works and their function can be so misunderstood, I think you completely get it but are stuck on your position and to support Trump. Ownership of the data is the source that it comes from, the surveys are not owned by the BLS companies are sent BLANK, UNFILLED forms from the BLS, the companies FILL the data, they ARE the data, the BLS takes the data and puts it on paper, they cannot own something they did not create.

I listed several people who are better material than Trump IMO but here we are and it doesnt matter if I think Trump is a chump he was still elected. It doesnt matter if I think Bush Lite was a dolt he was elected twice, it doesnt matter that you might think Obama was not a natural citizen or that Clinton was a pedo or that Carter was the worst ever or that any DEM is blah blah blah..they were elected.

The suitability of a candidate is not the measure of their ability, I'd take Harris every day of the week than the selfish golf cheat Trump but it does not matter.

The rest of the discussion has to start there.  I have addressed all of the other stuff she -- and they -- have done wrong.

But you first have to acknowledge the numbers were very far off.  

Then you can try to justify them, it, her, the process, the surveys, the Super Users, insider trading, your anti-Trump blindness and anything else you like.

But first you have to allow that the numbers are vastly off, yet again, and have not been matching up with the economic activity for quite some time now.

 No that is the issue, the "numbers" are not way off, they cannot be off they cannot be on when the projections are made based on historical data and the reporting group the BLS does not create or control the data. The numbers are not off, the projection is flawed and is always flawed, the flow of data is flawed so it cannot be on or off.

The BLS is not the creator or owner of the data, the data is controlled and owned by the corps filling out the blank forms. A useless projection was inaccurate, THIS is the only conclusion you can draw to fault the BLS, that historical data used to form a projection was not accurate...but who would think it was accurate? You cant take old data and think it will magically be accurate to the current set and ESPECIALLY since those numbers are not final, it is a first cut of several more adjustments and it STILL is a useless projection. It is no wonder the FED does not care about a single inaccurate data point like the month to month BLS report. Notice I said report, it is not BLS data, they REPORT data from corporations and businesses.

They were off and have been for a while over there.

You are the only one that says they were not off.  When, in fact, they were hugely off.

She is in charge of releasing them.  Incompetence, laziness, or otherwise -- she should be fired at best, or charged at worst.

Anyone else doing their job this poorly is fired.  The 'illegalities' or bad ethics is another issue.

 Stay in the seat try not to shift the issue. She reports the numbers that corporations and companies own and create, how can she be off when all she does is report inaccurate incomplete data? The BLS does not own or create the data Raiders...they REPORT the data that companies create and submit. 

I am saying the projection is useless, the numbers were not OFF, they are not ON they are not OFF, you cannot go and demand 11k votes just because you say so and you cannot demand a UE number because you say so. The numbers are what the companies submit, no ON or OFF, no MISS or MAKE, the BLS did not MISS anything or MAKE anything, to miss or make you have to own the data, they do not own the data they REPORT the data. The historical projection was inaccurate, that is also not OWNED by the BLS, a projection is off historical data OWNED by the survey corps that submit it, the BLS reports historical data projections off REPORTED historical numbers. 

MISS or MAKE? Did I miss a FG kick because I reported it happened during a football game and my wife asked what the score was?
