American Oil producers produced near record levels of oil domestically in 2021, despite sitting on their collective hands with over 7,000 government approved permits to drill and produce even more. They choose not to. If they did, supply would increase and prices would come way down. Oil prices are market driven. American oil companies are all PRIVATE and free to produce or not as they please, as well as sell their end products to whomever they choose. The highest bidder typically these days are the Chinese, not America. So if supply is low here, which is driving up fuel prices, who is causing the weakened supply and making record-breaking profits off the high oil prices?
It would be different if all American oil compnaies were a federal public utility. Then Biden would be in control, and be held responsible. But they are private. And they have their rights to keep production low and reap the profits as they wish.

We left the 20 th century behind over 21 years ago and should be moving toward the future of reduced dependency on a product that is causing climate change, let alone inflation and political divides. If we reduce our oil dependency that in turn reduces demand and lowers prices at the pump and prices for those entities that will still need oil and refined products for the forseeable future.
The key is to reduce oil dependency, not to increase production and increase our dependency. We are witnessing today what happens as long as we remain dependent on oil for far too many things that are unnecessary.

Do you mean we can't defend the decision to come to the aid of an ally that has been invaded? NATO is concerned about an escalation? Logistical issues sounds more like testicular issues.
Seriously, what's the issue with all the armaments we have already given Ukraine? How are these jets any different? They kill people just the same, only quicker.
