I believe there are at least two groups of illegals, one is well-established in here already and the other isn't. People need to realize the difference and find a workable/practical solution instead of just hanging on their ideology. I am tired of paying their bills.

Yes, let's locate, investigate and interview 11,000,000 people. It will be black and white who should stay and who shouldn't.

    Problem solved.

I like it how you always use extremism to illustrate you point. How about no question asked, just hand the green card out as long as a person wants it.

Why mention Bush regarding the debt? Obama doubled the debt in 6 years. I disagree with both, and both are liberal problems - not being financially responsible is not a conservative value. STOP SPENDING MONEY WE DON'T HAVE. I give Bush a little bit of leeway, he was dealt 911 & Katrina. Would you agree with that?

There's a lot of misguided thoughts in this post.

Bush was dealt 9/11 and Katrina? Obama was dealt the worst economy since the Great Depression, a quagmire in the Middle East and a war in Afghanistan.

Bush doubled the national debt to accomplish that.

You think what's going on in Afghanistan is an incentive to go to war with the US? You obviously don't know much.

Any respected medical professional says the best way to protect americans against Ebola is to treat Ebola at ground zero. What part of that do you not understand?

Yes.. Hand out the green cards and secure the border.

For starter, I don't like to give a green card to a hardcore criminal no matter how small the number you think it is. No, you can't help securing the border by giving them out like candies.

If only the world were as black and white as you eagerly paint it, I get why you do that, it makes being a nutjob extremist so much easier to justify...unfortunately for you, it is also the penultimate sign of limited intellect and reasoning abilities...

I didn't say the border will be secure if we make everyone legal. I said we should make everyone legal AND secure the border.

Get the hardcore criminal on the books so we can begin to track them. If they have two or more tattoos on their face .. Deport them.

Hes trying...  lets give him credit...  omitted answering all your questions... but it was better than the usual incoherent insecure garbage...

I think when you talk costs you're gonna have problems with people that are used to blank checks...  plus when you talk "return" it gets into an investment mentality... another weak point for him...

maybe you could give him some easier questions rather than asking him things that are above his level resulting in him having to take his anger out on another thread

Some of them are and that's why we need a screening process. Btw, the border doesn't close by itself for us to secure it so it has to be a cut-off point. Lets take care the ones that have been here forever and been staying out of troubles.

This has been tried with you and it doesn't work.

Nearly all economists agree that immigration (legal or not) benefits overall economy.  Contrary to fears among Americans, immigration reforms by Republican and Democrat Presidents are good for the economy.

So improving innovation and global exports would do more to fix U.S. economy than disrupting industries by deporting millions of illegal immigrants at tremendous cost.

Don't know your stances as much as his. But there is more to it than 'socially liberal and fiscally conservative'. This is used as a copout to me. It is mostly a catchphrase.  Just to be fiscally conservative doesn't make you anything more than someone with common sense.  Libertarians actually have stances on lots of issues. They tend to be more to the right. Independents almost always lean left, and very hard.
What are your stances on other issues besides fiscal issues?  And besides just saying socially liberal?  That just is more of--- if it doesn't hurt anyone else, we could care less what you do, etc.

Exactly as I have said in here many times.  Also, it was not an easy plane ride deep in Mexico. It was arduous train or boat trip.
Couple that with more secure border and huge fines and jail time for knowingly hiring them. And of course threaten prosecution for illegals that are caught.
As far as price----who cares??  We can put people to work---returning military.  We can quit spending on things that have no concern to our citizens. Not sure it will cost nearly as much as people think---once a lot self-deport. Apparently cost is not a factor to either party on anything anyway.
