Thought that this was interesting perspective.
Charts the major powers and their % contribution to world GDP,
This will mark the year that China overtakes the USA, who (because of WWI, and playing the sidelines so long) has been the major player for the last 100 ish years.

It is scary to think of a world dominated by Chinese interests.  They seem like the worst that the world has to offer, authoritarian communism with crony capitalism to boot.  The world my daughter is going to grow up knowing is going to be vastly different.

The real story here is,,that the Chinese have become more capitalistic..

China is less regulated and freer whereas the United States is becoming more and more regulated and controlled...

    America is losing it's FREEEEEDDDDDDDOMMM.

    While China is gaining theirs..

China is building a new coal power plant every week. The US is forcing coal power plants to close..The new EPA regulations when they go into effect will increase the cost of everything in the US ....

Obama last month inked a deal with China to limit carbon emissions ..so the Chinese are sticking it to us with Obama's UN Climate Change deal.. another deal that was made without Congressional approval....More executive overreach from President Barack Hussein Obama.

The U.S. commits to cutting carbon emissions......... China agrees to nothing more than capping its emissions at 2030 levels. ...lol

The world continues to punk our dear leader at every turn. What's he do? Considering sanctions against Israel.

Rolling Stone is currently under fire for a lengthy rape article that seems to be untrue. I think they should be under more fire for an article about how great Obama is (article was an issue or two ago), also obviously untrue.

Who cares about Israel? Putting their interests before ours is getting old.

Who do you want Rolling Stone to come under fire from?

I think that it is somewhat ironic that we became a world superpower by innovation and grit of the industrial revolution and staying out of WWI til the last minute. Those two things defined our success.

Now we will be undone by relying on foreign production and unending wars created by the vary entangling alliances that our founders warned of.

Detox - Rolling Stone - a pack of matches...

Secondly, when do we every care about our interests first? You want examples...

    • The border (11M people here that never should've gotten in)
    • National debt ($18T and counting, keep spending money we don't have)
    • Foreign Aid (same as above)

A sane nation would have a border and spend within it's means...
I have a property line that I'll defend, I have no debt. It's called responsibility...

    A pack of matches? What?

Ok, but they're here. It's impossible to track down and deport that many people. Do you understand what impossible means?

What did Reagan do about the borders or the national debt? HW Bush? W Bush?

Yes, give me examples of the US putting another countries interests first. Israel is a liability to the US.

If your only concept of what can be done is "track everyone down and deport them", please stop posting.

    Ever heard of e-verify?

Curious how you skipped right over billy bob though. He was awesome.

Make it a 1 million dollar fine or 10 years in prison for employing an undocumented person.

    Problem solved.

United States still has bigger GDP than China under exchange rate measure preferred by economists.  Also U.S. still has higher average income.

Zerohedge article is about China's purchasing power and not GDP. Their chart shows rise and fall of recent empires and not a comparison of countries GDP.  Article blames U.S. decline on high debt, high taxes, bad monetary policy, global intimidation, wars and fearful Americans.

as a non-partisan independent, I agree with you in theory...

based on 21st century history there is no way that happens...

You have one side that favors the illegals and the other that favors them being there to exploit the cheap labor...

as a non-partisan independent that is an actual citizen and does not employee illegals it seems like neither side represents me...

But that of course a non-partisan independent view...

Yes, give me examples of the US putting another countries interests first. Israel is a liability to the US.

GWB $64B commitment to AIDS in Africa. Like this is my problem...

The billions of foreign aid distributed to Pakistan, the Palestinians, Egypt & Israel every year - forever... Cut it all off.

Rebuilding Afghanistan after annihilating the Taliban. No rebuild, just kill the bad guys and leave it at that. Why make it an incentive to go to war with the U.S.?

Currently, the Ebola issue. Not our problem, keep it in Africa. If private interests feel the need to go to Africa and help, good for them. Not $1 of tax money.

A pack of matches taken to Rolling Stone (do I have to draw you a picture?) It's a liberal rag of a publication...

Why mention Bush regarding the debt? Obama doubled the debt in 6 years. I disagree with both, and both are liberal problems - not being financially responsible is not a conservative value. STOP SPENDING MONEY WE DON'T HAVE. I give Bush a little bit of leeway, he was dealt 911 & Katrina. Would you agree with that?

What is the cost to deport them? Who foots the bill? What guarantee is there that they don't come back? Build a fence? What's the cost? Put them in prison? What's the cost? Shoot them? What's the cost to keep them? You are always the one with the answers , what should we do? I'll be waiting for all your answers.
