The Country has had its say!

To right wingers who are asking how the Dems had 81 million votes for Biden in 2020, but only 65 million (so far) in 2024. I don’t believe for one second that there was voter fraud in 2020. But a 20% drop in an election for one party seems to be significant and to that I say People changing their mind, perhaps?  Also the candidate in 2020, the Democrat was a white male. This time, it was a black woman. That’s where a lot of those votes went. One can not deny the protests against Biden for the genocide in Gaza. The sad irony is Trump supports what Netanyahu is doing…Votes we’re surely lost! 

My goal now is to live till the next election, since the Orange One won’t be a candidate then, having had two terms. As far the election results I have only 2 words ….Tuck Frump

Is peace what you think is happening? Genocide is what is happening. Israel is hell-bent on wiping Palestians of the map. They have no intention of sharing the region and are looking to expand. That's what this is all about. Manifest destiny. The "chosen people taking whats rightfully theirs."

So my stance is give none of them weapons. If Israel wants to slaughter innocent woman and children, that's between them and the Geneva Convention. Just not on my dime. Israel is more than capable of funding this extermination on their own.

Who’s more dangerous the cheetah or the panther?

Off topic I know, but . . . the panther.

I've seen them both, up close and personal.

Don't get me wrong, a cheetah will kill you, but it has a little fear of the unknown, a little trepidation when face to face with something as big as it is, something the size of a man. The black panther has no such concerns. You look at it, the look in its eyes, sizing you up. You KNOW that cat is thinking, "Yeah, come one step closer and you're dinner."

It's similar to a barracuda. When you're in the water, other fish eye you with curiosity. They'll let you get within a few feet of them before they swim away. Not the barracuda. He just looks at you, almost smiling with those razor sharp teeth, daring you to come closer.

(I thought a short break from politics would be nice; probably not.)

I know it is off topic as well but...

I have seen both as well. I do not think a cheetah has ever killed a person.  Of course they could.  A jaguar has, and will, kill humans.

I was in the Amazon many years ago for several days and nights.  I have also spent time in the safari and heard lions roar.

But I promise you when you are in the jungle at night and hear jaguars (panthers) roar it is a sound you never forget.  Maybe it is because it is so dense and you absolutely will not see them.  But I will take the sound of the lion over the jaguar any day -- or night.

It will make you think you very differently about how much more dangerous they are than a cheetah.  Not that I want to try to pet either of them.

No, cheetahs don’t readily attack humans. There are known to be the scaredy-cats of the wild, and there has never been a case recorded of a cheetah attacking humans in the wild.  Even in captivity, while there are several documented cases of other big cats, like lions and tigers, attacking humans when people entered their enclosure, knowingly or accidentally, the cases of cheetahs attacking humans are significantly less.

But either way -- I would not tempt them.

Is is because the savanna is open. And the lions are out in the open whereas in the jungle, you don't necessarily know where they are lurking?
