The comfort of a lie is a complex psychological conundrum. 

Simplicity: The truth is often complex and difficult to explain, while a good lie is designed to be simple and emotionally appealing. In a chaotic world, a false answer can feel much more comforting than a messy, uncertain reality.

The constant repetition of lies, sometimes spanning over years and or decades, becomes a blank mantra for people who are surrounded by chaos and instability in their personal lives. This psychological phenomenon tends to make their lives slightly more bearable.

Marjorie Taylor Greene open to healthcare deal with Democrats amid shutdown
