Trump's vindictive $475 million 'big lie' defamation lawsuit against CNN thrown out

A federal judge has thrown out Donald Trump's
$475 million defamation lawsuit against CNN,
in which the former president claimed the network's
description of his election fraud as the "big lie"
associated him with Adolf Hitler.

In a ruling late on Friday night, U.S. Judge Raag Singhal,
who was nominated by Trump in 2019, said
CNN's words were opinion, not fact, and therefore
could not be the subject of a defamation claim.

WASHINGTON ? A top Republican claimed this week that a former business associate of the president’s son witnessed Hunter Biden being told to call Washington and get a Ukrainian prosecutor fired.

It turns out that’s not what happened at all!

The former business partner, Devon Archer, spoke to lawmakers for several hours during a closed-door deposition on Monday, which Republicans billed as a major development in their quest to connect President Joe Biden to his son’s foreign business deals.

Archer sat on the board of Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company that also employed Hunter Biden. House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) said Tuesday during an interview on Fox News that Archer revealed Burisma asked Biden to get his dad’s help with a troublesome Ukrainian prosecutor named Viktor Shokin.

“We learned this week that Devon Archer said that Hunter Biden was told that he had to call Washington and get help and get that prosecutor, Shokin, fired,” Comer said.

Under pressure from Democrats, Comer released a full transcript of the Archer interview on Thursday ?

had insisted he had "lots of evidence of fraud."

But Fox News host Laura Ingraham told John Eastman
she  had not seen evidence of fraud in the 2020 election
after the former Donald Trump attorney claimed
he had “lots” of it.

“I haven’t seen that evidence, and I’m always
  wanting to see everything,”  Ingraham said.

One of the republican aides in the sham "kangaroo court" impeachment inquiry, after hearing the first few witnesses the republicans offered to testify against the Bidens basically blow up their supposed case, confided to reporters that the inquiry has thus far been an "unmitigated DISASTER!"

Trump attorney Sidney Powell pleads guilty in Georgia election subversion case

Former Donald Trump attorney Sidney Powell
has pleaded guilty in the Georgia election subversion
case, one day before her trial was set to start.

As part of her guilty plea, Powell is admitting her role
in the January 2021 breach of election systems in rural
Coffee County, Georgia. With the help of local GOP
officials, a group of Trump supporters accessed and
copied information from the county’s election systems
in hopes of somehow proving that the election was
supposedly rigged against Trump.

After the 2020 election, Powell had peddled conspiracy theories about purported fraud and false claims about millions of votes being flipped in a global scheme against Trump that involved Venezuela and other foreign powers.

She is now the second person in the sprawling racketeering case to plead guilty. Bail bondsman Scott Hall last month pleaded guilty and agreed to testify at future trials. The other 17 defendants, including Trump, have pleaded not guilty.

“This is a really big breakthrough for the prosecutors,” CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig said on “News Central.”

“And it’s so important to understand there is no such thing as halfway cooperation. If you’re a prosecutor, you would not enter into this deal with Sidney Powell unless you had been thoroughly convinced that A, she is telling the truth, B. she is going to be able to testify for you credibly in the way that you can put in front of a jury, and justify and see she is not going to be splitting hairs,” added Honig, a former federal prosecutor.

Powell admitted taking actions after the 2020 election “for the purpose of willfully tampering with electronic ballot markers and tabulating machines” and “with the intention of taking and appropriating information, data, and software, the property of Dominion Voting Systems Corporation,” according to new court filings.
