COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis criticized House Republicans Wednesday, lamenting to a crowd in southwestern Iowa that he has “not noticed much of a difference” since they edged into the majority after the 2022 midterm elections.
“You look in Washington, it’s like, you elect Republicans, control the House. I have not noticed much of a difference in anything,” DeSantis continued. “They promise all this stuff, they go on TV ... and then nothing ends up ever happening.”

No good reason to justify total presidential immunity. Ridiculous to argue presidents cannot be prosecuted for crimes as long as they aren't impeached and convicted by congress. Under US constitution, executive branch is supposed to be constrainted by legislative and judicial branches. Supreme court should just refuse Trump appeal and let ruling stand in lower court. His appeal is no more than a delay tactic. Justice delayed is justice denied.

Trump doesn't understand that NATO is NOT a protection racket. US pays 16.2% of NATO operating budget. The same as Germany. 2% of GDP is just a guideline and not a requirement for a country's own defense. Countries that don't spend 2% GDP on defense don't owe money to anyone.
Of course, US spends 3.5% GDP on defense because of other obligations beyond NATO.
