So Mnuchin declares further sanction on Venezuela in a press briefing & John Bolton also attended the briefing. Reporters noticed 2 written notes on Bolton's pad.

One note read "Afghanistan...welcome the talks."

The other note read " 5,000 troops to Columbia."

What a circle jerk this must have been. This was a meeting of the Trump-Pence Mutual Masturbation Society.

Pence received the "Eddie Haskell" Award for being the biggest suck up in attendance.

One big picture takeaway from today's intelligence hearing is there are huge new challenges to the U.S. & Trump isn't talking about any of them. He's focused on the southern border, which doesn't come up in the threats assessment as a significant security issue.

It's what happens when you're totally in over your head. He isn't talking about any of them because he doesn't understand any of them and won't listen to people who do. Yet he lies that ISIS has been defeated & North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat. Sadly 37% of Americans are still buying his lies.

He isn't just dumb. He's irresponsible & reckless.

US has dropped out of top 20 least corrupt nations for the first time since 2011 according to Transparency international which ranks governments of 180 nations on corruption index.  Under Trump, there has been erosion of ethical norms at the highest levels of power.  Also threats to system of checks and balances.

Remember Foxconn's announcement in 2017 to build a manufacturing plant in Wisconsin? It's not happening. 

American wages make their plans to produce LCD screens non competitive. They will be built in China & Japan then sent to Mexico for final assembly.

Now wait a minute. They are just now realizing the cost of labor in the US? The planned 13,000 jobs has now shrunk to less than 1,000.

Eminent domain was declared for Foxconn to get the property needed causing people to sell their homes.

Wonder how former homeowners feel about this news?  

Trump brags about USMCA trade deal (or NAFTA 0.8) but doubtful whether congress would ratify it without changes.  His illegal unjustified tariffs (paid by americans) on steel and alumnium must be removed.  Republicans complain about investor safeguards.  Democrats complain about labour and environmental provisions.  USMCA increase costs with no guarantee of jobs or economic growth.  Probably Canada and Mexico won't ratify deal until after US do it first.
