Similar findings by Congressional budget office and American immigration council.  For example, illegal immigrants pay $90 billion in taxes but receive $5 billion in benefits.  Only eligible for very few benefits such as emergency medical care and education for children.  Ineligible for welfare, medicare, medicaid and food stamps.

Besides, illegal immigrants boost US economy.  Center for american progress determined legalizing all illegal immigrants in US would boost GDP by $832 billion over a decade.

I did not say illegal aliens are stealing benefits .....I said they are stealing American resources, Resources that do not belong to them...they are thieves plain and simple..

As far as Federal taxes ..how are illegal immigrants paying taxes in the first place ?

They use an " Individual Taxpayer Identification Number” The IRS issues ITINs to individuals that must file taxes, but either don’t have or are ineligible for a Social Security number. ITIN’s are issued regardless of immigration status.

Of an estimated illegal immigrant workforce of 8 million, 3.4 million, or less than half, are registered with ITINs and are paying taxes........ So the majority are not paying federal taxes ..they are thieves...stealing from Americans.. moochers..

Thieves who sneak into America and steal whatever they can from America and it's people..

In regards to illegal immigrants boosting US economy  ..whatever work they are doing to contribute to the economy  ..can be done by legal immigrants ..ones we select to enter our country ..not illegals that sneak in and steal American resources ,,that they do not deserve.

you see this whole wall no wall debate is absolutely meaningless.

if they gave a green light to this latest slush fund simply when trumps gone they can have fun tearing it down.

5.8 billion government contract? that wouldn't put three strands of barbwire and fence posts from cali to texas.

on a larger front ending American occupation of other nations and closing our overseas bases would be a great thing for China and Russia, without American presence those nations can gain more control politically economically and ideologically. America isn't first in anything but spending money on defense.

I do believe that North Korea will ever become denuclearized or that this summit will even occur, South Korea put in an order for 100 40 million dollar planes the f35 j20 they took delivery on two. no war no need and 4 billion dollars is 4 billion dollars.

Just saw a disturbing caricature of a shirtless Putin holding hands with Trump as he shoots Uncle Sam in the head on 5th Avenue.

Creepy on a number of levels.

Why would Manafort send US polling information to Russia?

Any Trump supporter want to tackle this?

    Rudy's new defense...

It was everyone else but Trump! He didn't know his personal attorney, son, son- in- law, campaign manager & national security advisor were all colluding with Russia.

Sort of like the Manson Family committing the murders & Charlie not knowing about it.

Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme came up with a plan to assassinate President Gerald Ford...she the President who was shaking hands with supporters at an event in Sacramento, CA.

Fromme, dressed in a red robe, approached the President and extended her hand with a .45 caliber pistol in it and she pulled the trigger. The gun clicked but did not fire. Secret Service tackled her immediately and she was arrested..

According to Institute for taxation and economic policy, illegal immigrants pay billions in  taxes for benefits they would never receive.  They help to finance government and boost social security system for americans instead of being a burden.  Despite Trump's political rhetoric, most economists consider both legal and illegal immigrants as positive overall for US economy.

Most, maybe, but not all economist.....mixing illegal aliens with legal immigrants to come up with a positive result is flawed..

We do need immigrants to help our economy ..however they should all be legal immigrants..there are lines of people waiting to get into the country legally..they should be allowed in before these userpers..

According to Buzzfeed, Trump directed Cohen to lie to congress about Moscow tower project.  There are multiple witnesses in Trump organization, company emails and documents.  At least 10 meetings with Cohen about the deal.  Previously,Trump repeatedly denies business interests in Russia.  But perjury is an impeachable offense.  Also obstruction of justice to thwart investigations by FBI and Mueller.

Trump ignores the big economic picture.  US is a country build by  immigrants because of open border for most of its history.  Illegal immigrants create jobs as consumers by buying goods and services from US businesses.  Increased market demand helps to boost wages.  US economy would be smaller without them.

.According to Brookings institution, Trump is wrong to claim illegal immigrants steal american jobs.  Typically, they fill jobs  that americans and legal immigrants refuse to take.  Employers and customers benefit from lower wages or prices.  Without cheap labour, some businesses won't survive. Also no correlation between illegal immigration and high unemployment.

30 years of research show little evidence immigrants depress wages of native workers or crowd out job opportunities.  Short term wage effects of immigrants are close to zero according to University of California study.  In the long term, immigrants boost productivity and wages.

Illegal immigrants and low wage earners compete in different markets.  Top jobs for low wage earners are different than top jobs for illegal immigrants.  Besides, only a small minority of total work force earn minimum wage.  In some markets, demand is elastic and customers would buy less if prices or wages are higher.  So illegal immigrants help to open opportunities for businesses.

The study you reference from University of California studied the effects of immigrants on jobs and wages..not Illegal aliens ..
Legal immigration is good for this country and is needed.

If, these Illegal aliens coming here in caravans from South America are so good for the economy ....Why are the countries they are leaving in economic collapse ?

Mitch McConnell, one senator of 4.5 million Kentuckians, is holding the fate of 328 Americans in his hands. He will also refuse to hold Trump accountable for his crimes that will become crystal clear to all in the coming months.

I expect Trump to declare a national emergency tomorrow which will solve absolutely nothing.

Our system has never been more broken in my lifetime.

Pence is nearly as stupid as Trump.   If Chris Wallace would have asked him if his hair was white, Pence would say "We'll have to see about that"

"Everybody knows that walls work. You look at different places, they put up a wall, no problem,” Trump said outside the White House. “You look at San Antonio, you look at so many different places, they go from one of the most unsafe cities in the country to one of the safest cities, immediately, immediately.” Donald J Trump 1/19/19

Get this moron a map. San Antonio is 150 miles from the Mexican border & doesn't have a wall. But I'm sure his uneducated base wouldn't know that now would they?

Fox news Wallace accused Trump of using government shutdown as leverage.  If Trump didn't resort to blackmail, negotiations for a wall would go nowhere.  Original budget bill passed unanimously by congress and supported by Trump until Coulter and Limbaugh criticized him.

Majority of americans oppose a wall according to polls.  Of 17 senators and representatives for Texas, Arizona, New mexico and California, only two (Cruz and McSally) support the wall.

Shutting down government should never be used as a negotiating tactic.  Rule should be changed so that if congress doesn't approve a budget then previous year's budget should be implemented automatically.  Obstruction is unethical to the foundation of government.
