A federal judge blocks attempt to switch legal team which would be a waste of time.  Census bureau has a deadline to print census forms and efficiency of court proceedings are a concern.  Trump has a history of delay tactics in lawsuits.  No valid reasons presented for change of lawyers.

No justification for adding citizenship question to census.  Such a question could reduce response rate and discriminate against minorities.  Resulting in inaccurate census, unfair electoral consequences and federal underfunding for schools, hospitals and other public services.

Please don't make me laugh...maybe it wouldn't make a difference in your country ..However here in America the data is used to calculate all sorts of things, including the number of representatives each state gets in Congress,and the number of votes each state gets in the Electoral College ...which is justification enough for the citizenship question...

All courts reject weak reasons friom Trumpt administration for adding citizenship question to census.  The constitution only permits one question, "How many persons live here?"  For a new question, government must give a legal and credible explanation according to Administrative procedure act.  However no satisfactory justification given except for contrived rationale to enforce Voting rights act. 

Census bureau is opposed to a question that would reduce response rate among minorities, making census less accurate and Voting rights act harder to enforce.  Census is supposed to count all persons and not just citizens.   Attempt to switch legal team shows that Trump administration is on weak legal grounds. Trump cannot use a executive order here.

Obviously, Trump administration is lying about its true motivation.  There is significant evidence of conspiracy to gain unfair electoral advantage by discriminating against minorities.  Abuse of power to rig census to suppress eligible voters.

President Trump wins again....The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Friday ruled in favor of the Trump administration's efforts to prioritize federal dollars for local policing to towns and cities that complied with certain immigration policies.

The Court ruled that the Justice Department was within its rights to withhold Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) grants from sanctuary cities and states over their refusal to work with federal immigration enforcement authorities and instead prioritize agencies that focused on unauthorized immigration and agreed to give Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) access to jail records and immigrants in custody.
