 Yessir.  I trust you on your prices.  It is just very unusual.

The guy that started the thread was simply pointing out that gas prices had started to drop. 

I addressed some of it in my reply to him and to you in the earlier part of the thread about this being the most complex commodity.  

That is not the issue.  

The fellow was pointing out that gas prices were dropping right away.

I simply pointed out that they continued to the whole year.

The matter of why and it being a world commodity and Biden using the reserves, etc.  All of that has been addressed.  It does not matter if the original Trump dealing in that region were helping before and then Biden messed that up.  It does not matter that the regulations have been lifted and more viable leases have been opened.

The details of exactly what Trump did, or could do, to influence it have been rehashed over and over already.  Apparently, it has worked to a degree.

It would not matter at all what Trump did, or Biden did, to any small degree that they can influence it -- the Leftists will never give him credit but gave Biden many excuses.

They will always pick something about it to discredit any good.

I mean look at what you just did.  You tried to pick at it to try to justify taking any credit away from Trump.

At least he did get a 'toot toot' shoutout. 

The thread was not about any other thing Trump did or did not say or do, including crypto, fracking, anticipatory fields, jobs, or anything else.

It was simply about gas prices.

I mentioned your area because at the beginning you said you had paid less under Biden's last bit than currently.  You even doubled down on it, as if it made good sense, when I pointed out we were coming up to the busy travel season and a different blend and naturally it was more expensive then than in January.

Then later in the year when I pointed out that each month still was trending lower than the previous year-over-year same month, you still said you had paid less when Biden left office.

Now we are all the way back to the beginning of the year and the gas is cheaper than it was when Biden left office -- everywhere.

And it is very much so, all things considered -- ~7-8% or so.

Yet, you still will not acknowledge that it is cheaper for you and everyone else.  Even the 'toot toot' was followed by all sorts of criticisms and excuses for why Trump did not deserve credit.

Like they say, the man could cure cancer and the Left would not give him any credit.  

This is a guy who truly does seem to put the USA first in all of his policies.  But the Left will always say he has an ulterior motive for it.

As far as whether I am happy gas prices are down -- it doesn't really affect me.  So, I am not happy for me.  But for the many, many folks that do use gas, I am very happy for them.

Any person that is living in a situation where their budget is tight should be very happy that something they NEED is cheaper.  Some are; some will simply bellyache about something else.

It is amazing what they have done to the state.  They cannot account for the 'lost' money.  

A guy was saying he could see CA and NY easily reaching 60+% taxes.  He was saying if you lived in a society where you had great safety, incredible schools, and roads and public transit all worked like in, say, Japan or UAE.  Folks would say that it is a lot but it is sort of worth it.  But that is not the case.

A great state that they are running into the ground.

I dont care if you have "regional" prices for Costco lol because Costco prices from location to location vary and city to city just as do prices from pretty much every single gas provider. Someone in Peoria will pay different than someone in Scottsdale and Gilbert or Happy Valley so your regional information is pretty much useless it is not specific and as you just stated about YOUR impact, all I said was what I paid...not regional lawyer ball or what others pay just what I did and then you play pool and try to call me a liar several times. I have not done that at all with you rather I want you to actually have to defend the liar you support and defend the two sided farce he sold.

Previously it was suggested that drill baby drill could work with lower gas prices then we have to roll out reality that the majors have budgets and plans YEARS in advance and the truth that Trump has any impact on a years worth of a 3-5-10 year horizon is laughable. Even when oil went to zero it took majors 18 months plus to curtail their production and adjust the future plans and slow expansion projects. Trump cannot and does not influence the majority of US production, the markets do this not Trump. But Trump DID say two lies that cannot exist in the same universe...you cannot lie to frackers in North Dakota and promise fracking jobs AND lie to the public saying day 1 gas price cuts and immediate results...both cannot coexist, so I asked which matters more the lie about day 1 gas price relief or fracking drill bay drill? Its only one that can make it and has a chance at the cost of the other.

Trump is fraud and a liar and it was super cool how he shared today about getting his fingers caught in a binder, that is so endearing that we have a wandering clueless dufus who never knows when to shut up.

 Not sure why you want to concentrate on fracking.  The work force is down roughly ~2%.  That is because of the lower prices AND the increase in better efficiency.

But the production is basically higher year over year.  Even with the lower oil prices the trend was basically up in 2025.

So, I am not sure exactly what Trump said about fracking that you disagreed with.  It is not like they had a major drop in workforce.  They are still fracking and much more efficiently and largely over the year at higher levels than in recent years.

So, it would seem both are true.  Gas prices went down and fracking is still going along just fine.

Since 1977 the IRS has required any slot machine, video poker or keno machine win of $1200 or more to be reported by the casino. Inflation since 1977 has made those 1977 $1200 jackpots equivalent to $5800 or more today yet $1200 was still the limit. Congress had a bill to raise it to $5800 and it was/has been sitting in committee for years. And actually the IRS doesn't need congress they could just change it on their own. And of course in election year 2024 they started "talking" about it again and nothing happened.

So in the Big Beautiful Bill they raised it to $2000 with an inflation adjustment clause. Not the $5800 it should be but at least they did something. A step in the right direction. Right now machines are still locking up at $1200 and if under $2000 they hand pay you without reporting it. On a side note, with that inflation clause that could change the amount yearly I don't see a permanent software fix other than an adjustable setting of some sort.

The BBB also had some gamblers screaming as they put a cap on deductions. If one itemizes (I don't/haven't) you cannot write off all winnings. Ten percent must be paid even if your loses cover your winnings. There is heavy talk about getting that 10% removed, but again, "talk"

And.....one more thing. My name is UNIMAN because I once collected Universal brand Slot Machines. Knew them inside and out, even reversed the software code and wrote a few custom games of my own. It was a fun hobby that I moved on from some years ago. A slot technician once called me the uniman and it stuck. The Mrs and I enjoy casino gambling and it is our favorite source of entertainment. With inflation at a slightly higher than average price, I do not believe I've ever seen gas prices this low during Bidens term.

You are struggling to make sense, I think you do not really understand what you are speaking about. This comment cannot be true so how can I suggest that it IS true?

Your replies show you either do not understand the dynamics or you are not actually reading messages, most of what you posted last night just do not translate to you understanding what the point is.

Gas prices are correlated to oil, oil is controlled supply wise from a cartel and by demand. You cannot increase fracking when the increase comes on the fringes. That means the drill baby drill idiocy only happens when those frackers who can produce at a certain price point get that price point..that is your excess production. The majors are locked in and that production is set for 3-5-10 years not because the clown says a snappy slogan. The excess production cannot exist unless oil is HIGH or the cost of production is low. When borrow rates were ZIRPY for Trump it allowed frackers to borrow for low interest rates and that lowers their costs so they can borrow to fund production or buy equipment etc. You can find break evens for fringe frackers online but my estimate is that to make a tiny profit oil needs to be in the 65-70 range and anything below 60 means they lose money and will not survive even if they had low interest rates.

So your above comment just makes no sense, excess production cannot lower gas prices if higher oil prices are needed to GET excess production. Majors are seeking production opportunities all the time but they are not the frackers that Trump lied to, Trump either suckered one or both groups by saying day 1 baloney gas prices AND drill baby drill...both are lies because to accomplish his promises one has to fail at a minimum.

Again, you keep saying that as if it makes sense. Oil and gas are very susceptible to speculative actions.

If you say 'drill, baby, drill' anticipation will lower prices, I am asking how much they will lower them?

So, you have to be able to answer why do you not like this?

Why is not good for the country and the economy and the individuals.

I am saying the opposite of whatever you are failing to make sense here. Prices cannot go lower based on supply if the price of OIL is not high enough to allow for the marginal fringe fracking to exist. If a certain price is required for a break even of costs and the ability at a min to exist then how can gas prices go down if oil prices need to be high in order to increase that drill baby drill gibberish?

The majors will produce with oil at 30 or oil at 80 his jawboning means nothing to the majors as their timeline is very long term, our production pre-Trump was at historic highs we were not failing to produce. If you want an all-in production for all our available resources then that all in production comes from smaller players who have a higher cost structure that need oil at HIGHER prices to afford operations.

Do research before you just assume your presuppositions are correct.

It is a lie, I do not like liars and fraudsters. We cannot be energy independent you cannot frack on the margins with lower prices. Have you seen a 50% reduction in costs and has the American consumer seen an immediate drop in gas prices as promised? 

Explain how if a company who wants to frack but requires oil to be at 65 can frack if oil is at 60? Domestic production is not going to dramatically shift because Trump says so, the says so comes from those frackers who are sitting on their leases and equipment until oil prices get to a level high enough that they can function as a business. If you want fracking from the small players you need higher prices. If you want MORE fracking from the majors then you need a LONGER time horizon, they acquire leases and expand production regularly because they have to...they deplete an area and need to find another that is the nature of their business and it takes very long time horizons, that production is not going to materially shift in a few months time that Trump lies about.

Your beating the drum to deaf ears, in their eyes every single thing trump does is a great accomplishment even when they know themselves it isnt true
