That's because generally Democrats are known to give money away whereas Republicans are known as generally being more conservative  with money...

Just look at what is given away in terms of money in most situations like it grows on trees...Democrats are very well known for boosting money in certain areas...for example,  look at most welfare programs...they tend to be heavily backed by Democrats more often than they are by Republicans....that's part of what makes a Republican a Republican is there conservative stances and view points...
