100% AGREED!     Undeniable trump regime mismanagement

People across the globe died and you think Trump didn't do enough and caused deaths....wow...just wow...

No where on earth were people safe from COVID...if you think that any one person or country could have stopped the spread and deaths then you are completely irrational and delusional....could things have happened differently, sure, but that doesn't mean the outcome would not have been the same....wasn't just the US that struggled it was a global issue, but sure yea blame it on Trump....no one person could have gotten any different result.....and for those of you that think closing our borders was going to keep it from spreading are also not looking at the situation with open eyes....

Some of you are very far out there in your attempts to push blame...COVID should not be one of them as it was going to happen regardless of what was done...that's what happens when you have people that are allowed to travel in and out of your state...even as locked down as North Korea is they still had COVID cases and deaths...so, gimmie a break

If US had the same covid death rate as Australia, 10 times more American lives could have been saved.  Australia restricted personal interactions until vaccines became widely available.  Then Australia maximized vaccination of population.  Key difference is that Australians trust science, government and each other.

You trying to compare the US to Australia....you do know that the Aussies have a 3.3 person per square kilometer as compared to the US which is 36...India at 464...you just can't randomly compare places that are vastly different and say that if this was done then you would get this result...the US has many highly populated condensed areas...much more, per capita, than Australia so not sure your logic makes sense from sheer numbers, but I guess keep on thinking with a slanted viewpoint, although illogical.... 

Imagine if you had a loved one traveling abroad and Trump closed the border and allowed no one to enter or exit and your loved one died in another country because they could not get back home, would you feel the same?

And how many deaths do you think were counted in the US of people that just had COVID but did not actually die of COVID?

You are not one of those people that think our numbers were accurate are you?

You know they were counting deaths of people who had COVID but did not die of COVID as actual COVID deaths...bit misleading...

 Great point, Thirdperson! ....as this was covered in detail more than 3 years ago, right here, and there's no need to re-litigate it all over again.  Of course there were many other countries that similarly refused to "downplay" the seriousness of a highly infectious virus and managed the crisis extraordinarily well, including very densely populated countries like Japan, Vietnam and South Korea.

Four years later: the unemployment rate remains a huge bright spot for America, at just 3.8% [under the Democratic admin]

So yes, in that VERY IMPORTANT REGARD, we are definitely better off today than 4  years ago

In the US, covid deaths are under counted and not over counted.  This is indicated by big difference between covid deaths and excess deaths of population during 2020-22.  Under reporting from home deaths outweigh hospital reporting which follow guidelines of Center for disease control.

 I’m way better off than I was 4 years ago on this day/month because I have taken on more accountability for my own actions and have become a more responsible leader because of it 

US COVID-19 death toll passes 40,000, with 742,442 cases recorded according to Johns Hopkins tally, thanks to the president downplaying the whole issue.

And are we positive that some of those cases are not fabricated, as in I went to test at a clinic and tested positive and then went back 3-5 days later and tested positive again????? Because I know for a fact those are recorded as 2 occurrences or 2 cases not 1....that's a bit of a misnomer isn't it....

I know you won't reply, but the facts are really not the facts with some of this COVID stuff...no different than the count of deaths with people who had COVID and passed away and those that passed away because of COVID...very very skewed....Let's play with accurate facts first then we can get into why the recipe didn't turn out as grandma used to make...

Most medical experts agree that covid deaths are more likely to be under counted instead of over counted.  Especially during the first year of pandemic because of inadequate testing.  Many people died outside of hospital or have never been tested.  Center for disease control instructs doctors to list covid on death certificate if covid conributes to death.  That is, the deceased would still be alive if not for covid.  Besides, excess deaths of population (beyond expectations) during 2020 to 2022 can best be explained by pandemic.
