Seriously,  are the Covers rules etched in stone ??   Your cavalier attitude is surprising in the light of multiple assassinations and 2 assassination attempts on Trump, all occurring within the last 14 months.   I would think that you and your moderating team would reflect on all that's occurred, and realize a change in rules is  in order.

You do realize the social media " big boys " are set to testify in front of Congress, right ?  I'd pay attention to what they talk about just in this article.  It doesn't focus on member to member nonsense that Covers seems to focus on.

Despite failed attempts in first term, Trump now designates antifa as a terrorist organization.  But experts question legality of designation.  Since antifa is a leaderless movement, ideology is not generally considered criminal under US law.  But designation could be misused to undermine free speech and political enemies.  Also designation won't keep US safe.  Far right attacks account for 80% of domestic violent extremism.  According to Center for strategic studies, zero murders linked to antifa or anti-fascism from 1994 to 2020.  However right wing extremists killed 329 people.

Where in the site rules does it say that a member can be boxed or banned for calling a politician a fascist?

Does it mean anything to you that the person you are defending calls others fascist and spews HATE most every single day? Sounds like if it is good for the goose it is good for the gander. Please answer my SITE specific question as to the rules of the site given that all moderators follow the RULES of the site when taking action, not having tallies or quotas. Keep the rules and respect members and pretty much all your angst goes away, as it should.

The irony is, if a person were to say something to the effect of, "...the fascist that moderates this forum..." they would be instantly boxed but now, in his dogged defense of any insult uttered by someone left leaning, he says there's nothing against the rules about it. Do you know how many times guys have been boxed because he didn't like what they said, and when asked what rule they violated, crickets. 1/  It is not an organization - it's a movement.  There is a huge difference but as you point out, the fascist leader of the republican party may be using that designation as a means to further abuse of the constitution.

2/  Antifa stands for anti-fascism.  trump is a fascist.  Ergo, trump wants antifa to be persecuted for their stance AGAINST FASCISM!

 Key words you use...MEMBERS, how is this concept not understood? Your complaint is about non-member content like calling TRUMP a fascist, this is not breaking the rules of the site when within the parameters that the site rules list. 

Your message validates 100% all that which you complain about and find fault with me, MEMBER is the key word here, when you insult other members this is not allowed, the members who get boxed or banned are those who break the rules regarding MEMBER to MEMBER interaction, now there are parameters and measures for ANY content and that does not need to be explained it is listed and obvious so please do not insinuate something when you know precisely the point I am making.

I/we make decisions on MEMBER interactions most every single day and that is the issue you and many others are not grasping and I have no idea why you are perplexed, its listed right there in the rules and guidelines. The politics forum more than any other non box area has the most combative and derisive content and it is moderated accordingly.
