Super Bowl tomorrow. I remember when I was in middle school and the 49ers were playing in it. I hated the 49ers simply because every kid was on 49er bandwagon and pulling for them. Of course they won. I'm always the type to go opposite, go against the grain.
Tonight is a sorrowful night. Watched Slumdog Millionaire and cried at the end. I was not brought up in nearly the conditions he was but the constant letdowns and years of battling severe addiction allowed me to somewhat relate to Jamal. I was bawling at the end it was such a touching movie. I am an emotional guy and very empathetic to other people.
The girl he kept remembering reminded me of a a time when I would lay on the hill, watching clouds float by in the cool breeze, gently stroking the hair of a girl I would have cut my arm off for. She left me, dumped me for another guy. I had others but she was always on my mind. I called her about 5 years after high school, I forget how I got her number. I was blasted and she knew it. We talked about the old days and I asked if I could see her again. 'I'm sorry I can't do that'. Click. I cried for a week after that off and on. Life is cruel for many in the world, unbearable for most, and heaven for a select few. Good night my friends.
