They knew the spread. Everybody was pounding Vikings. Opened at 9.5 I believe and it got slammed up to 13.5. Vegas needed 13.5 at least peace_5

the spread was pretty much never 13.5 until the last few minutes.  anyone worth a damn took less than that.  

it wasnt so much to cover the spread here but to avoid getting shutout

 Teams know their fans bet on games. If they cover for their fans, then they will be happier than losing and not covering.
