The time has finally come for me to step down here at Covers and turn the daily hockey thread over to Lippsman. You guys are lucky to have a person like Lippsman who  has been there when ever I asked for help and will now take over the thread. He can do as he pleases and change the format as he sees fit
 
I started the hockey thread about 5 years ago as a place for hockey cappers to post picks in one neat thread so that it would be easy to find out who is hot and also share some info on games. It has more than served its purpose and continues to thrive because of each and every one of you who takes the time to drop by and post picks. It is rare that any problems develop and there are no better posters than hockey people. You guys get along and really do want to help each other.
 
I ran the thread by myself in the early days and have had many, many late nights but I loved doing it as well.
Some posters have been with me for along time like Faisov, Fourwedge,Sharpaction,Webba,Rinkrat, Zipnjaz, Wjeremy97,Bear and of course Lippsman to name just a few. Thousands have come and gone since the thread has been intact
 
Thanks again Lippsman and I know you will do a terrific job..
 
I will still drop by to post picks from time to time but will not be around as much. If Lippsman ever need a hand he knows he can give me a shout and I will be there.
 
So with all that said I want to thanks everyone for the respect they always showed me (a female in a male dominated forum).

threehockeygirls, i've only been here this year but you seem like a hell of a person and the thread must take a lot of work to do, thank you for doing it and thanks to lippsman as well. Hey Lipps if you need any help with the thread sometime I'd be happy to pitch in.

Thank you SO much for all that you have done. Being a former linesman myself, I understand how hard it is to step down, but sometimes we need too right? Covers is the greatest sports info site on the net and you have helped it become that way!

When I was first learning about betting puck, you were so very helpful and have continued to be. Back in the day you and Wire2Wire (remember him?) were the two Covers members that helped me the most and eventually inspired me to become a linesman at all.

 

YOU ROCK and I know that I speak for many when I say,

It is because of you for the last 5+ years that we have all been able to share so much info and help each other pick so many winners over the last 5 years. This thread now has an average of 60 posts a day compared with 20 in 2002. We have come a long way because of your hard work and dedication. We will all miss you

back in the days when it was a "mass forum", you gave the hockey fans a bettors a thread to go to for intelligent discussion, info and hockey picks, WITHOUT a lot of posturing and personal insults, that was the envy of all the other sports threads at Covers.
 
that and your dedication to running the BEST contests will definately be missed. I still cherish my Covers hat that I was lucky enough to win years ago. I will now remember your service to this forum whenever I wear it.
