You're not actually laying more than a FG with Kirk Cousins as your QB, right?

    Yikes.

Sorry to break the news to you guys, but Kirk Cousins is not a good QB.  His numbers against weak Jags and Eagles defenses mask how unreliable this QB is.

You want to give money to the books, bet Cousins giving more than a FG against the Giants.

I hate both of these teams with a passion being an Eagles fan, but let's be real here.  Redskins are not a good football team and Cousins is not a good QB to be laying 3.5 to the Giants.

had exactly the same initial reaction...and the 3.5 won't last even though money is coming in on the Redskins

If you like the Giants, Cousins isn't your concern. Eli facing the #4 defense is.

    #4 defense in what category?

They were 21st in DVOA last year.

The Redskins lost to Ryan Fitzpatrick, beat Chad Henne and the Jaguars, and then gave up 37 to the Eagles.

That makes them a 4th ranked defense?

-DeAngelo Hall is out for the season.
-Ihenacho, 3rd safety out for the year.
    -Tracy Porter Questionable
    -Golston still Questionable
    -Hatcher Questionable

-Jordan Reed is also OUT for the offense

It's hard to fathom how blind you actually are.  Show me one website that has a consensus where the money is coming in on NY.

Currently, on this very website, Covers.com, the Redskins have 68% consensus.

    601-286

And so so-called "Experts" are 5-0 in favor of the Redskins.

Sportsinsights has the Redskins at 63%.
Vegasinsider has the Redskins at 66%.

You are clueless.  Stop betting the NFL.

    What does that even mean?

They're going to run the football well like they did last week, Eli will make big plays against a banged up Wash D, and Kirk Cousins will throw several INTs.

Giants will win this game by 10+.

Giants are finished, they have issues...lots of them. They're just as banged up as anyone, and their offense is a mess.

You want to give money to the books, bet Cousins giving more than a FG against the Giants.

I hate both of these teams with a passion being an Eagles fan, but let's be real here.  Redskins are not a good football team and Cousins is not a good QB to be laying 3.5 to the Giants.

How are you going to say don't take Cousins yet Eli is on the other side of the ball?  Turnovers will play a huge part and Eli is always willing to oblige.  Eli predictably got blown out by Det, singlehandedly cost them vs the Cardinals, and predictably beat the Texans because they matchup well with them and Fitzpatrick is actually a worst QB than them.  Which is a roundabout way of saying he is 0-2 when he loses the TO battle and 1-0 when he wins it.

Also, I don't care what Cousins did last year for a lame duck coach on a team that quit on his team.  As an Eagles fan you should know this same dynamic with Foles playing out the string in Andy's final season.  He has a better team around him this season and is comfortable in the offense.

I'm sorry I just don't see how you figure Eli and the Giants are a better team than Cousins and the Skins.

Whaaaaaaaatttt?  The Redskins are #1 against the run in terms of yards per carry.

Giants are 21st in in passing ypa against some suspect secondaries...LOL!

Redskins are 5th in ypa passing vs wait for it...Giants who are 30th in ypa against the pass while facing Drew Stanton and Ryan Fitzpatrick,,,give me a break.

I mean I'm trying to understand his logic here.  There is literally no discernible argument that you can make for taking the Giants in this game.  His ONLY hope is that Cousins turns it over because Eli definitely will in which case the Redskins should still certainly cover.

They just dropped 30 points against the Texans.

Eli had a QB rating of 78.7 and their RBs rushed for 193 yards.

    Total mess.

You clearly didn't watch that game.  If you think that was Eli's fault, you need to rewatch that game.

Again, the Redskins gave up 103 to Foster, then faced the JAGUARS, and then faced the Eagles, missing most of their offensive line for the entire game.

Look, you want to join the masses and bet Kirk Cousins the Redskins giving over a FG to a team with a competent QB off a very solid win go ahead.  Don't say I didn't warn you and don't be making excuses when the Redskins lose.  I'll be here to take the criticism if the Giants don't cover.

You want to say this Redskins team is good when they're lone win came against the Jaguars, be my guest.  Redskins make too many mistakes in crucial situations, their special teams is shitt, and their D is very banged up.  Giants have momentum, something they desperately needed after their first two games, and will win this game in Washington on a short week.

Washington came out of Sunday's 37-34 loss at Philadelphia as a very banged-up club with cornerback DeAngelo Hall (ruptured left Achilles) and safety Duke Ihenacho (broken left foot) lost for the season. Linebackers Brian Orakpo (left middle finger) and Jason Hatcher(hamstring) and guard Shawn Lauvao (right knee) are also hurting.

"We're losing guys left and right," Orakpo said. "Football's a tough game. Look, if you've got kids and can't stand injuries, don't let 'em play football."

The Redskins held a late-afternoon walkthrough Monday and listed 17 players -- nearly one-third of the roster -- on the injury report.

"Obviously this is a week that I would rather not have a Thursday night game," first-year coach Jay Gruden said.

New York seems to be healthier after earning its first victory, 30-17 over Houston on Sunday. That doesn't mean the Giants' preparation for Thursday will be ideal.

Coach Tom Coughlin said his only full practice is scheduled for Tuesday with little physical work.

"Really the field work is very minimal," Coughlin said. "We want them to see everything but we don't want a lot of exertion in terms of...I want them to move around enough to help the soreness, work the soreness out."

Giants could win and or cover.  But I strongly disagree with your opinion of cousins.  I think he is a major upgrade.  RG was not a good qb.
