+You could see that Greene thought about it for a split seconds as he approached the goal line.  He had some hesitation, but his momentum at the time was too great to stop.

So if Westbrook would have fumbled the ball after getting hit from behind it still woudl have been a smarter play then crossing the goal line?  Don't tell me its 100% better play then taking the knee.  No guarantees

Rex Ryan wouldn't argue it at all.  He was one of the first to celebrate.

You're being too logical.  Sports is an emotional game, and people play it for fun.  If it was chess, yeah, wrong move

Dude, read my post. NY Jets purposely scored to rub it in and that was it. Last thing on Coach Ryan's mind as he ran to the end zone was a 15 yard penalty, a NE TD, then a NE on side kick conversion, then a FG. Fat dude clearly stated it was him vs. Belicheck.

I've tried telling people at the book this theory until my face was blue. They don't get it. Until it happens they'll never understand. It's gonna happen one day. Many years back I think it happened in a Ill vs Mich CFB game. Nice thread, nice topic

You clearly have no grasp of probability or its use

Can you point out an instance where a team has scored instead of taking a knee and lost?

Even Peyton Manning knows when to avoid the Endzone on a TD run...

That is not what I am talking about. I am talking about Peyton going down after a run where he could have scored a TD so that they could run the clock out and avoid his defense going back on the field and someone possibly getting injured.

If you have the game won, then why score and send your Defense back out on the field? You would think that you would want to keep them healthy since they have another road game next week.
