Pitt played a very generic game vs the Jets last time part and parcel because of Troy not playing and because in fact that game really meant zero to them.. Huge for the Jets in off two losses ..They knew (due to mind numbing tie breakers win or lose they still had to win the last two games for homefield) In fact after they lost they got a playoff spot and win or lose they still would have needed the last two.. They played a base defense just in case the Jets came back in later and wala.. Pitt outgained the Jets by 100 yards and gave up a TD on a KO and a safety and still were on the 10 yard line at the end of the game trowing it in the end zone for a win.. No Troy and Miller (TE) who much like Heap for Balty is huge.. A basic defensive game plan (not sure if kiesel (dt) played) and a slightly disinterested Pitt team will not occur this time.. Jets are a fine team but dont confuse the last game with this one..
I couldn't agree more with this. And for Sunday's game you can add in home field advantage for Pittsburgh, a little revenge factor for the Steelers, and the lack of that huge chip on their shoulder the Jets have been playing with the last two weeks, and I think you have the Steelers representing the AFC in Super Bowl XLV.

When the Jets played the Steelers in week 15, the Steelers pash rush did not even touch Sanchez. Not even once. The Jets also ran for over 100 yards vs. the Steelers. No other team in the league did this all season
there 2 running backs only ran for 89 yards in that game maybe sanchez scramble too get it too 100 but can count that
